Isaiah 43:2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through the rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
This text is a promise from God to Israel and to you and I, the believer. We will travel through the flood and we will travel through the fire on this christian journey, but we will not go it alone for God declares that He will be with us.
Believe it or not, on this journey called life, we all will suffer, saved or unsaved. Throughout the bible we will find one scripture after another concerning test, trials and suffering of the believer.
Let's listen to a few scriptures pertaining to suffering and the believer: 2 Timothy 3:12-yea and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Job 14:1-man born of a a woman are a few days and full of trouble.
With knowing that you will suffer and in looking back on all that you have already been through, my question to you on today is "Do you still have a praise inside of you:?
Traveling through the rivers of difficulty, the test of fires and trials is all a part of life. Contrary to what you may have been lead to believe, you will suffer on this journey called life. It is a promise from God for scripture says "when", not if, but "when" we travel through the deep waters of life; the difficulties, the test, the trials, the sufferings, oppression, calamities, persecutions, pain and hardships of life, we will not drown. We will not be overtaken or consumed by what we have had to endure because God is with us.
That's enough right there to give God a shout of praise!
Yes, you may have lost some things that you considered valuable along the way as you traveled through the rivers of difficulty in your life, but, where does that leave your faith? Can you still praise God in the middle of it? Can you praise God on the other side of "through"? In other words, in spite of what you have been through, do you still have a praise on the inside of you?
That is the question to be answered on today! Have the trials of life caused your faith and praise to increase or decrease?
Believe it or not, the same praise we had before entering the difficult waters of life is the same praise we should have as we go through our test and trials and even a greater praise when God brings us out. Yes, God is gonna bring us out for He declares that He is with us in it.
Let's revisit our text. God makes this promise to us in this text:When you go through the deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Why? God is with you.
The Apostle Paul ask a question in Romans 8;31- What, then, shall we say in response to these things? (what things?) the things in life that has come against us? what shall be say to them? We should say what Paul said: If (since or because) God is for us, who can be against us?
After all you been through do you still have joy? Do you still have peace? Do you still have a praise inside of you?
Psalm 34:1 - I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
I must admit, there were times when I felt like I was drowning in the fiery trials of life. I felt like I was overtaken by the enemy because of the wounds and scars, but after having reflected back on God's Word which declares that He will never leave me nor forsake me but that He would be with me always, even unto the end, I was able to keep my praise! Yes, I never lost my praise! I still have a "Glory Hallelujah" inside of me. What about you?
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you because you still have a praise inside of you in spite of all you went through.
