1 John 1:9 – God Is Faithful & Just

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Faith = Confidence in or dependence on a person, statement, or thing as trustworthy.

Faithful = True or trustworthy in the performance of a duty, the fulfillment of promises or obligations. (GOD)

John says in 1John 1:8 – If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

1John 1:10- If we claim we have not sinned, we make God out to be a liar and His Word has no place in our lives.

Oh what a promise God offers in this text to them that would only believe! He (God) who has promised is faithful and just. He is truly the “Ever Faithful Father.” He will never fail you because He is faithful and just.

Oh, what a breath of fresh air that God is blowing your way this morning! The wind of forgiveness is blowing. The Wind of everlasting life and peace.

Although God hates sin, He as God promises to forgives and cleanse the sinner. John is simply saying that if a sinner would turn from rejection of God, unbelief and turn towards God by confession and faith, they will be forgiven by our God who is Faithful and Just. Our God who is Faithful and Just to forgive and cleans us from all unrighteousness sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus to take away our sins on the cross by the shedding of his blood once and for all.

God is Faithful and Just! Will you trust Him on today?

The good new is the fact that God is faithful and just to forgive! As our faithful and just God, God is steadfast, unmoveable, loyal, dedicated, loving, king, compassionate and unchanging in His commitments and in His relationships with us. Indeed He is the Sovereign God who desires that none should perish, but that all would come to repentance.

In a ever changing world where things are one way today and another tomorrow, our God promises to be faithful. He changes not! He is continually and constantly faithful. Faithful is one of His characteristics. He is faithful because He is faithful!

Even when we don’t think that God is faithful, He is faithful. Every Word He says is true. Numbers 23:19 – God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

There is a song that says: Our God is faithful, He can move mountains, He keeps me in the valley, He hide me from the rain.

Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not.As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be. “Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness. Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided. “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

When it comes to forgiveness, the point I need to stress is that it is available to all, but only for those who, by God’s grace, believe are those that will reap the benefits of our God who is Faithful and Just. You need to believe in Jesus. You need to confess your faith in Him. You need to give Him your heart and your life. You need to live for Him. If you, by grace, are one of those who believe then this forgiveness is for you.

You must believe that sin confessed is, by grace, sin forgiven. There is no need to be unsure of your salvation. There is no need to doubt that God has forgiven you. If you believe that Jesus died on Calvary Cross over 2k years ago for your sins, then, by grace, the sins you confess are sins forgiven.

The blood of Jesus is enough to wipe away even the worst of sins. If you are someone who trusts in Jesus Christ, then you are no longer condemn for God has forgiven you. Romans 8:1-There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

God is faithful! He is faithful to forgive, save, deliver, sustain and keep every promise that He has ever made.

The question becomes; Do you believe that God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins on this morning? If you can only believe. Mark 9:23 – Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

God said in “1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

WILL YOU CONFESS ON TODAY AND RECEIVE FORGIVENESS? Tomorrow is not promised!

If you have confessed and now believe, Do tell the Lord thank you for saving your soul, for truly He is a Faithful and Just God!

God bless and do tell the Lord thank for Indeed He is Faithful and Merciful to all that calls upon His name. Trust Him on today! Try Him on today. He will not fail you!

I love you all with the love of Christ.
