2 Timothy 3:12 - Are You Being Persecuted? It Is All A Part Of The Plan

2 Timothy 3:12 - 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Thinking about quitting the Christian race because of persecution? Have you been lead to believe that this christian journey is smooth sailing. Have you been told that after salvation, you would be immune from persecution, struggles and the troubles of life?

Well, according to our text, none of us are immune from the troubles of life, saved or unsaved. If you chose to live for Christ, you will suffer persecution. No doubt about it!

We are reminded in 1 Peter 4:12 - 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

In other words, there is a purpose in the pain and the struggle. Do not think that something out of the ordinary is happening to you when it happens. Expect persecution! Prepare for it through prayer, study and meditation of God's Word. Prepare your hearts and mind now so when the attacks come, you will not be caught off guard concerning what is happening to you.

God's Word in the time of persecution will be your way of escape. 1 Corinthians 10;13 -No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Ephesians 6:10-18 -Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

Contrary to what we believe or what we have been told, God has given us proof in His irrefutable word on today that all who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Scripture is clear and plain. "All who will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

Stop acting like you do not understand why the enemy is attacking you? You know why! Persecuted for the sake of Christ!

Verse #10 of Ephesians 6 reminds us to be strong and in the Lord and in the power of His might. Who can stand against out God? Who has more power than Him? I can only hope and pray that no one allows satan to trick them into believing that they have the power.

Being persecuted? It is all part of the plan!

Persecuted for righteousness sake? And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Pay day is coming after while. Do not give up! Hold on for help is on the way.

I love you all with the love of Christ.
