John 11:21 - Lord, If You Had Only Been Here

John 11:21-Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.

Is this your cry on today? Lord if you had been here, this would not have happened, that would not have happened, etc.

This was the cry of Martha to Jesus concerning her brother Lazarus who had been sick unto death. In a indirect way, she is blaming Jesus for Lazarus death. Martha had sent a message to Jesus to inform him that "the one whom He loves is dying", assuming that Jesus would drop everything and get to Bethany in a hurry to see about His friend Lazarus. Martha knew who Jesus was and she knew He was able to heal her brother if he had gotten there in time.

By not coming when Martha and Mary expected Him too, Jesus had placed them in His waiting room. There was a greater purpose and a greater work to be done.

Many Jews had not believed that Jesus was sent by God and God was going to use the opportunity to raise Lazarus from dead after being dead for 4 days to show the mourners and onlookers that Jesus was indeed God in the flesh and that He was indeed sent by God. In turn, the people would believe and God would receive the glory.

What Martha did not realize is the fact that Jesus knew everything that was happening with Lazarus and He knew that Lazarus would die and He would raise him from the dead.

What is happening in your life right now that you are expecting God to immediately take care of, but it appears that He has you on hold?

Are you blaming Jesus in the midst of pain, suffering, anguish, despair or persecution because He has not showed up yet in your situation? One thing I now for sure, if Jesus promised to do it, He will do it! His delay is not His denial! He will come and see about you and I.

Lord, if you had only been here. Is this your cry on today to the Lord? I am sure it is the cry of many in the world today.

To all who are waiting on the Lord to come see about them, here is a little pain medicine for you. Mark 9:23 'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes.

When Jesus showed up to see about Lazarus he had been dead for 4 days, body had been stinking. Impossible situation for man, but possible for the God of the impossible.

Mary was looking for a miracle when Jesus had already made plans for a resurrection! Good God Almighty!

God is never late. Lazarus is proof  that God’s delay Is not God’s denial!

Lord, if you had only been here! He is there with you for scripture declares that your body is the temple in which Christ indwells. Indeed He is with you and I today and forever.

Where is your faith on today? In God or in what you see?

God bless and I love you all with the love of Christ.

Do tell the Lord thank you for He is a an on time God.
