John 15:12 - Love For One Another Is Not An Option For Christians-It's A Command From God

John 15:12-This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Saints, God commands us on today to love one another. What is God’s Love?  It is an everlasting, agape love. A love that is unconditional and self-giving; love with "God" at the center.   The same love that Christ has for us.

We live in a world where the love of many has grown cold, but for the Christian this should not be so. Sad to say, but the lack of love for one another among us as believers is seen very clearly today. Many have hardened their hearts towards one another. The reason we may never know. It may be due to past hurts and pains, disappointments, opposition, rejection or any other reason. What ever "IT" may be, God is calling us to "let it go" and seek (through Christ), true love for one another, for this His command to us on today.

In John 13:34-35 -  Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Agape love (God's love for us)  is giving without ever expecting anything in return. Giving to those you know cannot give back. This is how God would have us love one another.  Try loving those who cannot give anything in return.  Try loving those who you know intentionally wrong you, try loving those who say all manner of evil against you, try loving those who rejects you, try loving those who spitefully use you and watch God.

Will it be easy, probably not. God did not say it will be easy, but we must try. This Christian race is not given to the swift or the strong, but to those who endure to the end. No man should be worth any of our souls.

Our love for one another will impact the world for Christ.  In John 13:24-35- Jesus  said, “A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

He who does not love his brother,” John says, “does not have God.” Only those who are out of relationship/fellowship with God are supposed to be unloving people. Please do not allow your self to be here if you are a confessing Christian.

1 John 4:8 declares- Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

In 2 Cor. 5: 10- Paul says: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

I can only hope and pray that you are bearing the fruit of "AGAPE LOVE" on today. If you are, men will know that you are Christ Disciple.

God bless and tell the Lord thank you.

I love you all with the love of Christ.
