Proverbs 14:12 – There is a way that men think is right, and its ways are the ways of death.
Are you doing what is right in your own eyes? Is this the place where we have ended up at in America? HUMMMM!!Where will your sight lead you? Where has your sight lead you? Which direction? Which place? Which pathway have you landed on? Your’s or God’s? Who has the best plan for our lives? God or Us?
If we could be honest for a moment, we all can agree that at one time in our lives, we felt comfortable in believing that we could make every decisions on our own apart from the consideration of God and His word. Some people are still there today! Believing that they are their own God. They do as they please, when they please, so they think.
Haggai 1:7 – This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.
As humans, we are affected by selfishness, faults, self-will, temptations, wrong motives, prejudices and all other kinds of ideas and thoughts that are not of God. God is perfect and impartial. He is just in all His judgments. Psalm 11:7 For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. Psalm 50:6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for He is a God of justice.
The danger in all these ways of living and doing what appears to be right in our own eyes is found in these powerful words of Solomon, in Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seems right” but it ends in tragedy.
Judges 17:6 – In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.
Proverbs 21:2 – “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts”.
Proverbs 16:2 – All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.
Proverbs 12:15 – “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he who heeds counsel is wise”
God knows our ways. There is no escaping that! Scripture declares in Proverbs 16:9 – We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.
Psalm 86:11 – “Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth: unite my heart to fear Your name”.
Psalm 25:4 – “Shew me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths”. Why? Because there is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end there of is death.
Which way is the best for you? Your way or God’s Way? You must make a decision! If you choose not to, you have made it anyway! Contrary to what you have heard, seen or think you know, Jesus is the way! He is the Door! Enter therein!
I can only hope and pray that at the end of the day, you have come to the conclusion that your way is not the best way! GOD IS THE ONLY WAY! Matthew 6:33 – 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
God bless and do remember to tell the Lord thank you for showing us a way out of ourselves and a way into Him and His plans for our lives!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Believe it or not, our plan or our way, will not lead to this promise! Only God’s way leads to this path of blessings now and in eternity!
I love you all with the love of Christ.
