Psalm 1:6 – Divine Protection From Evil

Psalm 1:6 – The righteous are guided and protected by the LORD, but the evil are on the way to their doom.

Oh what great news the Lord gives us on this morning. He tells us that we have been given divine protection from Evil.
The evil one will not prevail, they will perish. That’s enough right there to take away any fear or worry that may try to attach itself to you on this morning. You are divinely protected by God Himself. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!

Many of us don’t like being watched. We don’t like the feeling of someone looking over our shoulders while we are working. It makes us nervous.

However, the Lord says He is watching over us. This watching over should come with gladness and rejoicing because we are being watched over by God the Father. In other words, we have Divine Protection from Heaven.

The Lord’s promises to watch over the way of the righteous does not mean that God sees what the righteous are doing, but doesn’t see what the wicked are doing. It means rather, that God watches over those who are righteous, just like a father watches over his children whom he deeply loves. The wicked does not have to be watched by God, his path is already destined for destruction.

Watching means much more than to see. Another translation of this verse says “The Lord knows the way of the righteous.” God doesn’t just see the needs of the righteous, He is with them! He personally cares for them and guides them.

This blessing of the Lord personally watching over us, caring for us, guiding us, is a blessing for the righteous. It is for those whose joy is in the Lord, and who have been reconciled to God through the glorious
work of Jesus Christ. Those who choose to be evil and live apart form God will perish.

This tells me that nothing just happens to us. Permission has to come from God first. If He allows pain and suffering, there is a far greater purpose than what we can see and feel.

God here promises us victory and he promises defeat for our enemies. Fear not, God is with you. Noting just happens. God sees and knows all things. He is the Sovereign God.

God declares in Isaiah 55:11- that His Word shall not return to Him void, but it shall go forth and accomplish that which God has sent it to do. His Word has been sent forth TODAY AND FOREVER, to protect you and I. BELIEVE IT!The promises of God is YEA AND AMEN!!

Psalm 91:10-11 declares-No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. 11-For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.

The Lord will protect us from evil. Our enemy is already defeated. Just like there is divine protection for me, there is divine destruction for my enemy!

If God is with us he will enable us to be different from the world. He will put into our hearts that delight in his word. He will transplant us to the banks of his river of life so that shall not be moved, but achieve fruitfulness for His Kingdom.

If you have made Romans 10:9 confession, you have stepped out of death row into life eternal with Christ. On today, you can boldly confess divine protection from God over your life.

Good morning to all you faithful readers of God’s Word.
