Psalm 80:3 Lord, Return Us Back To You For Only You Can Save Man

Psalm 80:3 - Turn us again to yourself, O God. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.
Psalm 80:7 -  Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psalm 80:19- Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

How interesting that the psalmist speaks these same words three times in psalm 80. I believe it was spoken 3 times to show our dire need for salvation.

Revive=  A RETURN to "consciousness of life. Renewed and more active attention to religion; an awakening of men to their spiritual concerns. To recomfort; to quicken; to refresh with joy or hope.

Revival is the work of God and not man.

Is this your prayer to God on today? Is it your will and desire to be revived again? Are you in need of being redirected back to God from the world and all it's pleasures?

Has the troubles, test and trials of life showed you your need for God? Do you need God to come to your rescue?

The prayer in this text is a cry for revival. A cry of return and reconciliation back to God. Are you there yet?

Are you tired of just coming to church Sunday after Sunday and week after week with no change in your life? Are you empty and thirsty? Are you in a barren land spiritually? If you answered yes to these questions, cry out to God for help for He is willing to do just that for you on today.

The world is in need of revival, the church is in need of revival, America is need of revival!

If we could just catch a glimpse of God through His Word and prayer, we would be saved from many unnecessary disasters, circumstances and situations. Of course, there will be some test and trials in life that God will allow us to go through, but there will be many that He will not allow to come nigh our dwelling if we put our faith and trust in Him.

Being revived means acknowledging our need for God. Acknowledging that we have control of nothing and that God is Sovereign not us.

When God has turned us back to Himself, when He has shined His face upon us, we are convicted of our sins against Him and confession of our sins becomes the order of the day. The scales are moved from our eyes and what has been acceptable is no longer acceptable when we are revived.  When we are revived and God's face shines upon us, evil and wickedness is seen for what it is, "evil and wickedness" and not entertainment.

When God has revived us, when He has caused His face to shine upon us, our attitude of wrong thinking changes to what is right in the eyes of God. When God revives us and shines His face upon us, from the depth of our soul comes a cry of salvation. A cry to be saved from self.

When God has revived us, we hunger and thirst for righteousness sake, we learn how to love one another as God loves us, our prayers become fervent, we are no longer self-centered, but God centered, our plans for our lives are God's plans for our lives, we no longer make excuses for willful sin, Christ enters into our hearts and we are saved by faith.

We all stand in need of God to turn us to Himself and to make His face shine upon us. God’s shining face not only represents His presence, but also his blessing. God alone is the one who can turn us back to Himself.

Our God is faithful to His Word. No one wants to see a revival among every men, women, boy and girl more than God does. Seek Him on today and He shall be found. Call upon the Lord on today for He will hear and answer your cry. I promise you that if you call upon Him while He is near, he will revive you, turn His face upon you and He will save you.

Lord, return us back to you for only you can save man.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for His saving power.

I love you all with the love of Christ.
