Matthew 7;15 - Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
We are living in a time where the name of "Jesus" is more popular than it ever was before. People everywhere have the name of Jesus on their lips or a symbol of a cross on their necks.
Jesus warns us in these last and evil days that there shall be many false prophets and false teachers who will come in the name of Jesus and deceive many.
One definite sign to identify them is if what they are saying is contrary to the Word of God.
If anyone is speaking on behalf of God, they should be speaking what the Word of God says.
Open the eyes of your spirit saints through study of the Word of God so you won't be deceived in these last and evil days!
Everyone that mentions the name of Jesus is not really coming in Jesus name.
Jesus Himself says in Matthew 7:21- Not everyone who says to me "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the ones who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
False prophets: Ones who presumes to speak in the name of Jesus things that Christ have not commanded him or her to say. Be aware of these types of people for Jesus Himself declares that they are wolves in sheep's clothing.
Food for the sheep is "The Word of God". Food for the wolf in sheep clothing is "the sheep".
Yes, wolves eat sheep. Wolves are like a roaring lion seeking whom they may devour. They are looking for those sheep with itching ears. Those that have a form of godliness but lack the power.
Today, we can find people from every walks of life with itching ears.
Warning! This is an open door for deception of the enemy. These type of people are targets for the false teachers and false prophets that Jesus often spoke about.
Satan deceived our first parents and he is out to get all of us, therefore we must be alert and sober minded.
We must put our war clothes on because we are indeed in a spiritual battle. Do not be deceived, there is a battle going on for our minds.
What must we do to counteract that attack that is guaranteed to come against our minds?
God offers us some help in His Word. Let's listen to Ephesians 6:10-18 - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
How are we to stand? Let' listen to vs#14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The deceptive work of satan is seen everywhere. We see it in our families, homes, workplace, schools, marriages, churches, communities, and on and on.
We must gird up our loins with the truth of the Gospel so that we may be able to "stand" in these last and evil days.
We must be aware of counterfeit Christians, false prophets and false doctrine.
Remember as you venture out on today that there is an enemy who is waiting to catch you off guard. He/she is disguised as a wolf in sheep clothing! Be aware, be alert and be of a sober mind.
The wolves in sheep clothing are seeking harder than ever before to deceive, distract, distort and discredit God's Word. If they can convince you that there is another Gospel, your mind has been hacked by a wolf in sheep clothing.
I beg you on today that you do not let "you" be the sheep that the wolf eats.
Jesus gave us clear instructions as to what the enemy goal is in our lives. Let's listen to John 10:10a - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
Christ clear instructions as to why He came is in John 10:10b I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Beware! Be alert! Be on guard! There is an adversary out there and he desires to sift you and I as wheat.
Stay in the Word of God, stay connected to God through prayer, continue to stand guard, use your weapon (the Word of God)), so that no man will be able to deceive you. We are commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
In other words, study so that you may know the will of God for your life. Study so that you may know what is truth according to God's Word.
There is only one truth that will stand forever and that is the truth of God's Word. Jesus Himself declares in Matthew 5:18-For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle from My Word shall in no wise pass from the law, til all be fulfilled.
You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Truth for living is found in God's Word alone! There is no other truth!
Again, be aware of wolves in sheep clothing. The only way that you will be able to identify them is through the Word of God.
Scripture says in 1 John 4:1-Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Stand guard as a watchman! If not, the enemy will overtake your city (mind) and destroy you in the process. The wolf is seeking to devour the sheep, therefore, be aware!
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for divine wisdom on today.
Thank God for revealing to us who the enemy is and what his goal is in our lives.
Thank Him for giving us the tools and weaponry (Word) needed in this spiritual battle that we daily fight against.
Thank Him for revelation of His Word through the Holy Spirit, which allows us to see the enemy for who he/she really is..
