2 Corinthians 1:3-4 - Be Encouraged For Our God Is The God Of All Comfort

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

We live in a world where that throws so many opportunities at us that is able to cause one to feel discouraged. But, God does not want us to be discourage, He wants us to encourage ourselves in Him as David did in 1 Samuel 30:6-David encouraged himself in the Lord. He did this by seeking God the Father who is the God of all comfort and you and I must do the same in our times of discouragement.

I am sure we all could find one reason after another to be discouraged. Many of you are going through distressing times. You are probably facing health issues, financial issues, terminal illness, sickness, problems with children, spouses and family members, perhaps you may have lost a love one, a job, hope, peace or even rest. Perhaps, discouragement may have caused you to leave your church and you are undecided as to whether or not you should return to the body of Christ. Whatever it is that you are dealing with on today, God is telling you to cast it upon Him for He careth for you.

Our means of encouragement from God on today is found iN this tNext, which informs us that our God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, even in the time of trouble. He knows our pains, he shared it them too while He walked here on earth among us. He knows exactly what you are going through. Be encourage, for our God, the God of all comfort is with you in whatever you are going through.

When discouragement tries to attach itself to you, remember our God, your God, my God is The Father of Mercies. In the Greek the word "mercy" is oiktirmos.  It means compassion, pity, mercy.   And, it is something that is felt in the heart.  In God's very heart, He feels mercy toward you and I.

Our God is the author of mercy.  The depth of His mercy was seen at calvary through his forgivness, salvation, deliverance and redeeming power that was shown forth to the worth through the shed blood of Christ.

Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

If you by chance work up this morning in a place called discouragement, here is a little pain medicine for you. Psalm 24:7-9 Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

Let the King of Glory come in on today. He is ready and willing to comfort you for He is the God of all comfort.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for being our comforter.

I love you all with the love of Christ.
