2 Corinthians 5:1 - 5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
In this text, our physical body is methaphorically described as a earthly house and in other translations, it is described as a tent, . A tent is a mobile house, temporary dwelling or as webster says, a portable shelter. A place of residence that is not a permanent one. It is put up and taken down as one travels from place to place. When death comes, this earthly tent is taken down to be put up no more!
As Christians, born again believers, traveling through this land called earth, the bible describes us as "pilgrims and strangers" in 1 Peter 2:11. When Jesus saved us, we became citizens of Heaven.
There is an old familiar hymn that says "guide me oh though Great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land", etc.
This tent, our earthly bodies are the temporary home for the soul of man. When our journey as pilgrims on this side is over, when our earthly tent is torn down in death, taken down back to the dust from whence it came, there is another home in heaven that awaits our arrival.
We live in the world, but we know this world is not our home. We are pilgrims traveling through on our way to a home that God has prepared for us; a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:1 - When Our Earthly Tent Are Dissolve, There Is An Eternal House Not Made With Hands For Them That Believe! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! DID YOU HEAR THAT? God has a prepared place in heaven for His people. Jesus says it this way in John 14:3 - And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you!
I love you all with the love of Christ!
