Colossians 3:23 - And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.
Heartily means "with all our heart, all our strength, all that is within us." Not being lazy about it.
As Christians we are exhorted to work as unto the Lord in any and everything we do. We are to work hard at it as if we are working for God Himself and not for man. Our life as Christians should glorify God the Father. Scripture declares in Matthew 5:16 - 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
When we work, we work as for the Lord and not for men. No matter what the circumstances, we can find fulfillment and satisfaction in our work, as long as we keep God as our priority. Christ is our goal! There is no eternal reward is pleasing men.
1 Corinthians 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Why? Man changes and he is unpredictable. Scripture declares in Hebrews 13:8 God changes not for He is the same yesterday, today and forever. If Christ is our goal, we know that working whole heartily as unto the Lord will be rewarded.
Realizing that we are servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and not man, should change our perspective of our work. When we’re working, either at our jobs, in our church or in a relationship with others, we have the opportunity to show the love and character of Jesus Christ.
Remember: Christ is your goal and not man! Colossians 3:23 - And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.
We should strive for excellence because God is worth it. He deserves our best. Psalm 145:3 - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.
Jesus offered His "Blood"! The least we could offer is our service unto Him in our service to others! Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord with your whole heart.
Christ is the believer's goal, not man!
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for considering us to be worthy to called "His Workers"!
I love you all with the love of Christ!
