Ephesians 5:15 -16 Redeem The Time For The Days Are Evil

Ephesians 5:15-16 - Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

The Apostle Paul exhorts us on today to be wise concerning the way we live and to be wise concerning the use of our time we have here on earth. Our time here on earth should not be wasted, but put to valuable use. The reason given for redeeming time is the fact that the days in which we are living in are evil.

How do we redeem our time? By being watchful and prayerful, knowing that you have an enemy who's goals is to convince you that living as a wise man or woman is foolish and living as a foolish man or woman is wise. 1 Peter 5:8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

The world says "eat, drink, and be merry. Live according to what is right in your own eyes." But, God's Word declares in 1 Peter 1:16-"Be Ye Holy for I am Holy." Indeed we are living in a time where holy, righteous character and lifestyle is being rejected or watered down. The path of evil is shifting the focus of man from God to self.

Evil days and unwise decisions and lifestyles are definitely upon us. Wasteful use of time that God has given us stewardship over is seen everyday in every way imaginable.

The bible declares that man's days are number. Job 14:5 You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. James put is this way in James 4:14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone.

How are you living? Wise or foolish? Are you planning for life everlasting on earth or are you planning for life eternal with God? Life on earth will indeed one day end.  What will it have profited you if you have gained the whole world and loose your soul?

What is your soul worth?

Is your time wisely spent? Do you daily find time to spend with God in prayer, worship and study of His Word? Or, is life all about you and what you want to do and what you can get?

If you choose to live your life as one who is wise and not foolish, you will prevent having to "regret an unchangeable and horrified destination" when you transition from earth to eternity.

Yes, we all will answer as to how we spent our time her on earth.  2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body. Romans 14:12 - So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

We all have a limited time on this earth. Seeing it is but a short time, we should be able to fully devote ourselves to God and His service.

Each new day brings us 24 hours, each moment a precious gift from God. We all will on day answer as how we spent the time God loaned us, how effectively we bought the opportunities He provided us daily to be good stewards of the time He gave us.

The command and call of the day is to "REDEEM THE TIME". Make a daily effort to do something that is pushing you and I towards that prize that Apostle Paul speaks about in Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Live for eternity now. Earth is our only place of preparation for it. Today is the only day you have.  Tomorrow is not promised. Redeem the time now! Stop saying, "If I had more time." You do have time. Now is the time of Salvation!

Our time here on earth is shorter than it has ever been. Every day of our lives, we are drawing closer to our death date. Redeem the time! No man knows when the Goodman of the house will come! If he/she had known,  would not they prepare for His coming? We know that Christ is coming back. When? We do not know, but one thing for sure, He is coming back. Will you be ready? How would you have spent your time?

How are you spending your time here on earth? As one with wisdom or as unwise?

Galatians 6:10 - Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. In doing this, you will be wise!

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for divine wisdom on this morning.

I love you all with the love of Christ.
