Exodus 14:13 - Stand Still

Exodus 14:13--And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

STAND STILL! DID YOU HEAR THAT? SAY THAT TO YOURSELF! STAND STILL AND PUT YOUR NAME THERE!

Too often we want what we want, when we want it. The anxiety that comes with waiting can sometime cause many to doubt or attempt to go ahead of  God.

Moses tells Israel to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which they will see this day. God is saying the same to us in our situations that looks impossible to us; "stand still and see the salvation of the Lord"!

As Christians, we must know without a doubt that God is the solution to every situation we go through. Even though our situation may look impossible to us, its possible with God. God has the answer to our problem. While in Egypt, Israel's future  had looked dark; things went from bad to worse, but God sent them a Deliverer, Moses, who stood up to Pharaoh with God's help and said "The Lord said to let me people go."

When Israel was finally freed, depression, oppression, captivity and bondage was gone in a matter of  minutes. Joy, love, peace and happiness now reigned in the hearts of God's people. God had delivered them out of the hands of the Egyptians.

Now believing that they have been set free from every obstacle possible, Israel now find themselves facing the red sea. An obstacle they thought was too big to cross. To make matters worse, Pharaoh's army is behind them. Fear now sets in again and they begin to doubt God once again, like many of us do when things appear to go contrary to way we think they should go.

Remember, God had just performed the miracle of the "mass exit out of Egypt" a few days prior to the red sea and prior to that, the plagues.

Israel had forgotten about the miracle that God had just performed a few days prior.  Israel,  just like many of us, have allowed fear to take our mind off of who God is all the past miracles that God has already performed on our behalf. Fear hinders us in our mind and in our moving forward with God.

What we must learn to do is trust God and not fear. If He was able to do it before, He is able to do it again. God changes not! This is the mind set that we must have. We must believe that God is still able to do what He says that only He can do. We must stand still and we will see the salvation of the Lord.

We can rest assured and  be certain that God will work on our behalf Romans 8:28 declares - and we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. Moses here speaks victory and not defeat!!

What shall we then say to these things that try to bring fear upon us? "If God be for us, who could be against us?

Whatever your situation may be on today,  I hear God saying "stand still and see the salvation  of the Lord."

OUR ENEMY IS ALREADY DEFEATED!!!! Israel's enemy died in the red sea that day. Stand still saints! You are already victorious, more than a conqueror!

ARE YOU STANDING STILL?  I HOPE AND PRAY THAT YOU ARE STANDING STILL IN YOUR SITUATION.

THERE IS A WORD FROM THE LORD ON THIS MORNING AND IT IS "STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD!!!

TELL GOD THANK YOU FOR HELPING YOU TO STAND!!!

I love you all with the love of Christ!
