John 14:6 – “Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled”

ohn 14:6 – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

As we look around in the world today we could find one reason after another to be troubled.  We all have had days where it seems that everything that we do is working against us. A troubled heart is not uncommon. Jesus had a troubled heart when Lazarus died. The bible declares that when Jesus heard that Lazarus had died, “Jesus wept.”

What is it that would free our hearts from being troubled on today? The full statement that Jesus made was, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.” Jesus is talking about faith.  Jesus is saying that “I am God and you can trust Me.”

Jesus’ words are comforting because they remind us that when we believe in God we are putting our trust in the most powerful force in the world. Our God, this powerful force, is love.  Jesus is calling us to rest on today because of the faith that we have in Him.

God doesn’t promise us that nothing bad will never happen to us.  He clearly states in his word that in this world we will have tribulation, but be of go0od cheer because He, God has overcome the world. None of us as parents can guarantee that either, but God promises to be with us every step of the way. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God.

When we face the raging rivers of life, the firery furnaces of life, the raging storms of life,  we not only have the strong arm of God to support us. When the current is pounding against us, we have the arm of God interlocked with our arms. We also have the arms of  other Christian brothers and sisters holding us as well. We cross this storming river together. Supporting each other,  and finally we make it to the other side.

“Don’t let you hearts be troubled on today. Believe in God, believe also in me is what Jesus is commanding of you and I on today. God, who knows what we go through on today. We have a reason to rejoice. We are connected to God and regardless of what comes against us, we are already victorious. We already got the victory through Christ Jesus. If God be for you, who could be against you.

Hold your head up today. Trouble don’t last always. There is nothing too hard for our God. He is able to fix it. Will you trust Him on today? When the disciples were caught up in a storm, Jesus spoke to the storm “peace be still.” He is speaking these same words to your situation on today and mine.

Remember, the mind is the battleground that the enemy will try to use to defeat you, but you must be determined that no matter what comes against you, you will receive everything that God has for you on today!!!

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED! YOU HAVE THE GREATEST WEAPON AGAINST TROUBLE AND ITS CALLED “THE WORD OF GOD.”

Speak to your mountain on today and it SHALL BE GONE!!! You have the power! God has already given it to you.

GOD BLESS AND TELL THE LORD THANK YOU!!!
