Proverbs 3:7 - Where Does The Eyes Of Wisdom Live? With God Or Man?

Proverbs 3:7-Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

What is a Christian supposed to do? We live in a society that says wrong is right and right is wrong.

Society has no vision of how God looks at the system that we live in. Society sees everything totally different than God expects us to look at it as Christians.

Society says eat drink and be merry for any and all sin should be looked at as a choice that does not necessarily has to do with right or wrong.  It is a preference! I can engage in any conduct that is right in my own eyes. This is what I like to do, I do not see nothing wrong with it, this is my life, therefore, I do what is pleasing to me.

Unfortunately, we live in a society where men see themselves as the source of all knowledge and understanding. Denying the fact that true wisdom comes from God. In doing this, they reject the truth of what is right in the eyes of God through scripture that is revealed by the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

James 1:5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

James 3:13-18 -  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

1 Thessalonians 4:1- Finally, dear brothers and sisters,[a] we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah lived in a society where no one did what was right in the eyes of GOD. Everyone’s mind was bent on doing wrong all the time.

While everyone around him chose to do what was right in their own eyes, Noah chose to do what was right in the eyes of God. What about you? Is true wisdom defined by man or God to you?

No matter how discouraging life may get at times, keep your eyes on God! Regardless if anyone else around you is or not. No, we do not understand God's plan, His ways nor His timing, but we know that He knows what is best for us. Therefore, we must trust His wisdom and not ours.

Like the days of Noah, we live in a world that is bent on continuously doing what is evil and wicked in the eyes of God and calling it entertainment. A world where it is becoming more and more difficult to be a committed follower of the True and Living God.

We know that this world is marked for destruction.  Mark 13:31 - 31 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Everything is temporary, including our lives here on earth! How will you have spent it? Living according to what is right in your own eyes or the eyes of God?

When our life is over on this side called earth, the greatest testimony will not be a life that was lived with favor in the eyes of people, but a life that was lived through the lense of God's wisdom that is only found in His Word.

Keep your eyes on God. That is where true wisdom comes from!

Proverbs 12:15 -The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

Proverbs 24:3-7 By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory. Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the gate he does not open his mouth.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 4:7 - Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Do you have a desire to lean on God or lean on your own understanding? The scripture commands us to trust the Lord by not leaning on our understanding. We need to trust God! Our leaning is to be on Him and not on ourselves. Romans 3:4 says, "Let God be found true, though every man be found a liar." He alone should be trusted and we can learn to trust Him.

Where Does The Eyes Of Wisdom Live? With God Or Man?

The world defines wisdom as the right use of knowledge and information. Godly wisdom means that we view life from God's perspective and we respond and act according to the principles of His written Word in the bible.

Proverbs 3:7-Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom!

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for true wisdom that only He can give. Not as the world giveth!

I love you all with the love of Christ!
