Psalm 13:1-How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
Is this your cry to God on today? I am sure it is the cry of many in the world today.
This is where we find David in this text in his complaint to God. David experienced a feeling of isolation from God when he was running for his life from Saul. David, who was obedient to God at this time, believed that God was not with him during his time of intense trials and difficulties.
He begins his prayer petition with an assumption, a confused feeling that we all experience in our times of test and trials, "How long wilt thou forget me?" And then he gives the Lord the answer, "Forever". When God does not answer in our time, we too begin to pray David's prayer of "how long".
One true fact is that when difficulties comes our way, the enemy of our minds always attempt to make us believe that the wicked is at ease and the godly is forsaken and forgotten by God, but the devil is a liar!
None of us can escape the difficulties of life. None of us are immune from life's fiery furnaces. They come whether we want them or not. It does not matter what you wear, what you drive, where you live, how much you have in the bank, your status in society or in the church, difficult times will find you. If it has not found you yet, keep living!
I want to encourage you on today and let you know that God has not forgotten you. He did not forget about Joseph in the Egyptian prison, He did not forget David in hiding from Saul in the caves, He did not forget Moses in the dry desert and He has not forgotten you.
Whatever thoughts that the enemy brings to your mind that are contrary to God's Word concerning you MUST be cast down, rejected, and denied. 2 Corinthians 10:5 -Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
In other words, every lie of satan MUST be rejected and cast from your mind through the Word of God.
If you are feeling forgotten or abandoned by God, here is a little pain medicine that is found in Psalm 34:17 The Lord hears His people when they call to Him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
Remember, God's deliverance of us out of our situations is not always immediately, but if He says it, it will come to pass. What we must do is trust Him in it for now! Keep studying the Word, keep praying and keep believing. In other words, Keep hope alive with God for you can do it alone!
Scripture declares in Romans 8 that nothing shall separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. We are victorious, more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.
When the test and trials of life seems to hard to bear, pray, then open up your bible and begin to study God's Word concerning your situation.Psalm 119:105 -Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Even in difficulties, The Word of God has the power to turn things around.
Understand this one thing:The difficulties of life will come, but guess what? They too shall pass. Hold your head up! Nothing is too difficult for God. Our end is God's beginning. Trust Him on today, regardless of whatever difficult situation you may find yourself in.
The Apostle Paul says that our present suffering are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us when Christ returns. When we see Jesus, we will see the fullness of who we are in Him.
God bless and tell the Lord thank you that difficulty only comes only to make us strong.
I love you all with the love of Christ!
