Psalm 27:14 – Wait On God And Be Of Good Courage

Psalm 27:14 – Wait on the LORD. Be courageous, and he will strengthen your heart. Wait on the LORD!

WAIT= The Hebrew word translated wait is qavah defined by Strong as “to wait, look for, hope, expect.”

So, to wait on the Lord is to look to Him with expectation, hope and anticipation in our lives everyday. Believing by faith that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Believing by faith that God is able to do whatever is needed in our lives with excellence and in an exceedingly and abundantly way.

Is there anyone that loves to “wait” on God? I do believe that to some degree, we all hate to wait, but waiting is a part of life. If we could answer this question honestly, our answer would be a resounding “NO”! LOL!

What are you waiting on God to do in your life? Are you tired of waiting on Him? Do you have enough faith to believe that He is able to do it?

God is not inactive while we are waiting and we should not be either. When we are waiting on God, He is working behind the scenes in making our lives more like His.

Waiting on God is about being strengthened for the journey. When we wait on God, He strengthens us from within by His Spirit to do and to be what He has called us to do and to be. Because of God’s nature we expect God to enable us to do what He has commanded of us.

Knowing that God is going to work all things together for our good should give us a reason to trust God and patiently wait on Him.

Again we have that word strength! Waiting on God strengthens us spiritually, mentally and it increases our faith in God.

In our waiting with expectation by faith, God is making us more like Himself. God is faithful to fulfill everyone of His promises.

Psalm 25:3 – No one who trusts in God will ever be put to shame, but shame comes to those who try to deceive others.

Our waiting is not in vain. Scripture declares in Galatians 6:9 – that in due season we shall reap a harvest if we do not give up and quit. We must patiently wait on the Lord, for it is in our wait where we are strengthened.

Get busy in the Kingdom of God while you wait, knowing that waiting produces patience that brings about strength!

Oh, if you could only believe that there is not only “fruit” being produced in us while we are waiting on God, but there is indeed a “harvest” that will come as the result of our “wait!” Isaiah 40:31-31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Waiting on God prepares us for His service and builds us up in it!

Psalm 27:14 – Wait on the LORD. Be courageous, and he will strengthen your heart. Wait on the LORD!

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for gracing you with the patience to wait on Him and to be of good courage while you wait.

I love you all with the love of Christ!
