John 15:5 - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
This is not a scare tactic message, but a clarion call from heaven to earth, to get it right with God and do it now!
In this text, God is the vineyard owner, Jesus is the vineyard keeper who cares for the trees. The trees metaphorically represents Israel and each of us individually. As trees, we must be connected by faith to the vine or we will die. We must be watered by the Word of God and prayer, which causes us to grow and bear fruit that is useful for God's kingdom.
A branch can not bear fruit apart from the "Vine". The "Vine" is the life support of the tree. It is where it gets all it's nutrients, vitamins and necessary ingredients needed to grow and bear fruit.
Therefore, remaining connected to the "vine" is a matter of life and death. Apart from our source of life, we die.
Connected or disconnected from the "Vine"? Where do you stand concerning your relationship with Christ on today? Are you connected or disconnected?
The need to stay connected to the "True Vine" is more critical now than ever. The days are evil and the time in which we live are perilous.
Who or what are you connected to? Is it God through Christ Jesus? Or, is it twitter, facebook, myspace, linked, tumblr or instagram? Is it self, status, titles, money, people, power and prestige? What is it? What is your source of power? Who or what are you connected to?
Any connection other than Christ is temporary power that will eventually be disconnected and repowered no more. If the branch is not connected to the vine, it eventually withers and eventually die to never live again.
If you have been living you life according to what is right in your own eyes, I urge, beg and plea with you on today to repent and turn to Christ. God is calling you to believe in Him and to receive Him as your Lord and Savior.
Be not deceived! who you are on earth will be who you are in eternity. The greatest deception of man is to believe that he or she can live any kinda way here on earth and transition successfully to heaven upon death.
If you choose to live separated from God on earth, or if you choose to live connected to God while here on earth, then that is how you will live in eternity! Make no mistake about it!
Life and living results from being connected to the vine! There is no other way to God but through Christ. Jesus Himself declares in John 14:6 - “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you choose to willfully live your life apart from God, disconnected from the "Vine" as a branch, Jesus describes your end. Let's listen to John 15:6- If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
In other words, if you have allowed satan to trick you into believing that you do not need God and you choose to willfully remain disconnected and death knocks at your door without a warning, Jesus has a message for you. Let's listen to Luke 13:27-28 - But He will reply, "I don't know your or where you came from. Away from me, all you evildoers!" 28-There will be weeping there and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves thrown out.
Jesus is the only one that can save us. There is no other name under heaven given among mankind by which we must be saved. Jesus is the only highway leading to Heaven!
Connected to or disconnected from the vine? Where do you stand on today?
Have you made preparation for eternity? Or, are you still thinking about it? Do not think too long because you may one day be caught still thinking while disconnected from the "True Vine".
The bible describes two resting place in eternity. Heaven or Hell? Where will you spend eternity?
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for yet another opportunity to get it right with Him while the blood is still running warm in your body.
Stay connected to the "Vine" and live!
I love you all.
