1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
In everything give thanks. Why? God commands it and it is His will for us in Christ Jesus. Not for everything, but "in" everything.
As Christians, we should be different. We must learn to cultivate the attitude of gratitude always and in all things. Such an attitude may not change our situation, but it WILL change our perspective.
Everyday of our lives, we look to God for what We need and He provides its. Do you tell Him thank you or do you take it and keep going about your day?
Today, I want to challenge everyone of us to daily "tell the Lord thank you" in all things. All things means the good, bad and the ugly. Not for all things, but "in" all things. As the songster says "thank Him in the middle of it"!
Regardless of what we may go through or suffer, one thing we know for sure and that is "God is with us"!.
Thankfulness is an attitude of gratitude. Being grateful to God for who He Is and what He has done in redeeming us from the penalty of sin and death is the greatest reason for opening out mouths wide everyday and "telling the Lord thank you". Could I get an 'Amen"? Amen!
As Christians, gratitude is to be our way of life. We have a duty and obligation to acknowledge and give thanks to God in all things for this is His will concerning us in Christ Jesus.
Telling the Lord thank you in everything is like a sweet aroma in the nostrils of God. That is why we must daily do it daily and not just once a year on thanksgiving day.
As people of God, we MUST develop a thankful heart for God.
Throughout scripture we are exhorted to give thanks to God. Psalm 100:4 -Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.
What does Calvary mean to you? What does it mean to you now that you know Christ died there to pay the penalty for mine and your sins? Is it enough to daily tell Him "thank You Lord"?
Giving thanks on the mountain top is easy, but what about our valley experiences? Can we tell Him thank You there too? Can we tell Him thank you when the winds of life appears to cease from blowing, when the rivers and tides of life seems to over flow in our lives, when the sky in our lives begins to darken and when rain pours without relief? Can we say thank you in those circumstances? As believers we should! We know the truth.
I am not sure about you, but I will continue to lift my eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help and I will continue to give God thanks and praise in all things.
Psalm 96:2-Sing to the Lord, bless His name:show forth His salvation from day to day.
Psalm 103:1 - Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise His holy name.
Psalm 9:1 - I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.
1 Chronicles 16:34- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
1 Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be thankful in all things for this is God's will concerning you and I in Christ Jesus.
God bless and I love you all.
