Psalm 46:10a-"Be still, and know that I am God!
The command on today from God to all of us is "be still" for He is God and He is in control of all of life's affairs.
We are being called to let go of all fearful thoughts and anxiety that may be trying to attach themselves to us on today. We are to shut them up with prayer and the Word of God.
Regardless of where you may find yourself on today, regardless of your situation or circumstances, regardless of high winds, fierce fires, stormy seas or heavy rain that all may appear to be coming against you at one time, God says "be still" and know that He is God.
"Be still" is the command. In other words, trust God and fear not!
The call for spiritual calmness in the midst of life’s test, the call for confidence and total dependence on God, the call to rest in the peace of God as we reflect on God's goodness in the past, knowing that He is able to do the same today as He did in the past for He changes not.
We can find peace and rest on today Saints because our God says "I am God" with a resounding triumph.
Our God is Sovereign, He is all powerful, all knowing, every present, faithful, infinite and He is a good God. When we acknowledge who God is, we can trust Him and surrender all our fears and worry to Him, knowing that is able to do the impossible in our lives.
God reminded Israel in this text of their need to be still and know that He is God. He also reminds all of us on today that He is still God. He is exalted above all the heavens and earth.
When we learn to be still and surrender all our fears and worries to God, we find peace and rest, even in the midst of life troubles.
God is our refuge and strength, our ever present help in trouble.
Be still and know that God is God! You are already a winner with God!
God bless and I love you all.
