James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

This text is a call to remain steadfast under the trials of life. If you do, there is a promise of not only being blessed, but a reward called "the crown of life".

The question before us on today is "will you remain steadfast through the trial"?

Are you in a fiery trial? Remain steadfast!

Steadfast= Firmly fixed or established; firmness of standing; fixedness in place; firmness of mind or purpose.

The Christians in this text had been scattered abroad due to persecution and James is writing to them to encourage them to remain faithful to God, even in the midst of the test and trials they may be experiencing.

Believe it or not, Christianity is under attack in many ways and it is going to get worse. Not so much physical attacks, but attacks against the rights to those who are Christians. Look around and we can see where it is beginning to happen.

We live in a world where we can openly talk about anything imaginable and the minute we start talking about Jesus, others are offended. Open your eyes God's people.

Regardless of where you may find yourself in way of persecution because of your relationship with Christ, your main focus now and forever must be to remain steadfast and immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

The Apostle James says that those who remain steadfast during the test of life are blessed. They are happy in God, in spite of.

What is important for those of us who chose to honor God is to realize that test and trials of life are common place for followers of Christ.  What we have to do is "Hold on to Jesus" in the midst of the test and trials. Keep our minds on Him for He declares that He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.

Let's listen to a few scriptures from some of God's people who themselves have suffered and endured the trials of life. Those who not only endured themselves, but also call us to endure life's trials.

Apostle Paul-2 Timothy 3:12-yea and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Job 14:1 - Man that is born of a woman is but a few days full of trouble.

1 Peter 4:12-14- Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. 12-but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are ye:for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part, He is glorified.

The good news on today is that regardless of the suffering, we are saved by the power of the Holy Spirit who is our keeper, teacher and guide. As believers who are saved by faith through grace, we have an inheritance reserved in heaven that awaits us there. We have a crown of life that will be given to us by God when the battles of this life is over.

Hold on to Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After having been hard pressed on every side by the troubles of this world and having been persecuted, preplexed but not in despair, we will receive our crown of righteousness. We know this to be true because God promises it to us. His Word is true. God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Hath he said it and shall He not make it good?

When the days of suffering and persecution on this side is over, we too will  gladly speak these same faith filled, profound words that the Apostle Paul spoke in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8- Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Remember, the call today is to "remain steadfast under the trials of life"!  Do not look to the left nor to the right. Hold on to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. There is an eternal awards that awaits you for your steadfastness. This is a promise to you and I from our God who loves us.

1 Peter 4:19 So if you suffer in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for giving you enduring power to be able to stand firm even in the midst of persecution and opposition that is guranteed to come our way.

I love you all.
