Luke 2:12-This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
When the angels announced Jesus' birth to the Shepherds, they were given specific instructions as to what to look for. The Angels said "you will find a baby wrapped in cloths lying in a manger".
Jesus, The "Perfect Gift"! This "Gift" is something we can not buy. It is a gift that can not be judged by it's wrappings of cloth. This "Gift" can not be judged by the stinking "feeding trough" used as His bed.
Of course, one would not expect our "Savior" to come to earth as a baby, wrapped up in cloth in a animal stable as a maternity ward. Of course not! But, this is exactly how God wanted it to be. He wanted it to be an unexpected royal beginning of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Jesus, The "Perfect Gift"! Say that a few times to yourself. Isn't that a wonderful feeling that causes your inside to feel warm and cozy.
Looking for the "Perfect Gift"? Look no further for Jesus is the "Perfect Gift". One that will not only be around for the holidays, but He will be with you now and forever.
The baby that came over 2k years ago that laid in a manger in Bethlehem in swaddling clothes came to earth with one purpose in mind and that was to die for the sins of the world.
Yes, Jesus was born to die! He came to give His life as a ransom for all so that we may receive forgiveness of our sins and be reconciled back to God the Father throughout eternity.
The "Gift" that you think is the "perfect gift" that was bought from many stores throughout America is not the "Perfect Gift", Jesus is! He won't be found under the Christmas tree, but He one day hung on a tree. Jesus is the "Perfect Gift"!
Your "Perfect Gift" did not come with beautiful Christmas bows and wrappings, but He came wrapped in "swaddling clothes" lying in a manger in the town of Bethlehem.
The "Perfect Gift" to receive this Christmas is the gift of of salvation that only God can give. The "Gift" that keeps on giving that God gave to the world according to John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It is the "Perfect Gift" called "Jesus" that we celebrate this Christmas. He is the reason for the season. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He sits on the right hand of God the Father in Heaven.
Join me in celebrating God's "Perfect Gift" of love for us all!
I love you all.
