Luke 2:7b - There was no room for them in the Inn.
Having arrived in his hometown of Bethlehem to register for the census and to pay his taxes, Joseph and Mary seeked out a place to stay for the night. Having arrived at the local Inn, they were informed that there was "no vacancy."
I am sure Bethlehem was crowded with throngs of people everywhere, for they too had returned to their hometown Bethlehem to be counted in the census.
I pondered in my mind, the thought of how tired Joseph and Mary must have been from their long travel on a donkey form Nazareth to Bethlehem.
Mary being with child was a very important reason for them to find shelter so she could rest from the days' journey. Instead of finding a place to rest and lay their heads, they found a "no vacancy" sign.
"No Vacancy"! Throughout Jesus life, He had been met with "no vacancy" signs. It started at his birth and it is still happening today.
Bethlehem "no vacancy" sign is still handing in the hearts of many on today.
What does the sign in your heart reads concerning Jesus? Does it say "no vacancy" or does it say "welcome Jesus"?
God bless and I love you all.
