Romans 6:22 - But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
Once a slave, now a servant! Good God Almighty! Did you hear that? Did you just heard what God said concerning you and I? We are no longer a slave to sin, but a servant to the Most High God!
Romans 6:6 For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin's dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin.
Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Saints, we are no longer slaves to sin. According to scripture, those that have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior by faith now allows Christ to live through them by means of His Holy spirit. Therefore, we are not to let sin reign and have dominion over us anymore.
The power of the Holy Spirit that lives in us now enables us to not be ruled by our sinful desires but by God's imputed righteousness through Christ.
Salvation has caused us to exit death row and enter into life eternal by grace through faith. Because of God's grace, we now live in obedience to righteousness and not sin.
No longer a slave, but a servant! Look at God!
The fruit of this transformation is obedience to Christ. A life is that is holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.
Romans 6:22-23 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for setting you for transforming you from a slave to sin to a servant of Christ.
From slaves to servants! Marinate on that today and give God the praise He is worthy of.
I love you all.
