Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
Job, a man that was described by God as blameless, upright, one who feared God and shunned evil, one who was said to be the greatest of all the people of the East.
This Godly man, Job finds himself in the greatest storm imaginable, all at the hands of satan who was given permission by God to attack Him.
In the midst of a time in his life where Job had lost all 10 of his children, all of his servants, all of his live stocks, his wealth, his health and the support of his wife, we find Job frustrated, but not wavering in his faith.
After this great loss, Job began to summarize the plight of man. He began to reflect back on life and how fragile and short life is with these words in vs# 1 -"Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble."
Since sin entered the world through our first parents, Adam and Eve, there has always been trouble on every hand.
All people suffer as a result of Adam and Even's sin. Suffering is not limited to those who are wicked.
One thing about trouble is the fact that it is always on the prowl. You never have to go looking for trouble because it will always find you. Could I get a witness here?
Suffering serves many purposes in life. I believe the greatest purpose of our passing through the fires of life is for God to grow us spiritually. Faith has to be "fireproof" in order to withstand the test and trials of life as a Christian. If not, we would give up and quit running the race. It is in the fiery trials and test of life where we are refined, our patience and faith is increased.
Romans 5:3-5 - we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Psalm 34:19 - "Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all." God may not remove all the afflictions, but He makes sure we are able to endure them faithfully.
After all he had gone through, after all he had suffered, Job spoke these profound words in Job 13:15a Though He slay me, I will hope in Him.
Life never goes as we plan it, but it never takes God by surprise! He knows the way we take and when we are tried, we shall come forth as gold.
God knows how to take the worst of our situations and turn it into great victory in our lives. Saints, we have the assurance on today that God is and has proven Himself over and over again to be faithful, even in our times of test and trials.
I believe that Job was able to come through his troubles with great victory because of the fact that he never lost sight of God in his trial. We must do the same regardless of what we may have to go through. Keep God in view!
We all have and will continue to face test and trials in life. I am sure we all have seen and experienced situations and circumstances that appeared to be unbearable, but like Job, God saw and safely brought him through and He will do the same for us too.
Regardless of what you suffer, nothing can separate you from God's love. Romans 8;38-3938 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a]neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
At the end of Job's fiery test and trials, God restored everything he had lost with double the amount. Job 42:12a-So the LORD blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning.
Whatever fiery furnace situation you may find yourself in on today, whatever the loss, whatever the burden, give them to Jesus right now. He is the only one who can carry them for you.
Will you seek God for the faith needed to endure on this Christian journey. You are guaranteed a harvest if you faint not.
God is waiting to hear from you on today! Will you seek Him on today?
God bless and I love you all.
