Matthew 7:12 - "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
In our world we call this text the "golden rule". What you want done to you, do it to others.
Do you make every attempt to treat others the way you want to be treated? That is the command in this text on today.
In other words, Jesus is saying to us as believers, refrain from doing to others what you would not want done to you. Even though we may have been treated wrong by others, including our enemies, we must still treat them the way we want to be treated and not according to their acts against us.
God did not treat us according to our sins. We deserved wrath, but He gave us grace, love and mercy instead. He gave us what He desires for us to give others.
How would you like to be treated by others? Are you treating others the way you want to be treated.
We all will reap what we sow, be it good or evil. My prayer today that your “golden rule” is of good and not of evil. Remember, whichever you choose, will return unto you.
If we truly love the Lord as we claim, we will make every attempt to make Christ "golden rule" our "golden rule".
Philippians 4:13-I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This is the command of the day from heaven to earth. From God to His people.
God bless and I love you all.
