Romans 8:28- And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
All things working together for our good! Is this really true? Does all things really work together for our good?
Well, God's Word declares that it does. Yes, it may not feel good, but the end results always work in our favor, even though the experience may not have appeared to at the time.
If we focus only on the beginning of Joseph, David and Job's life, it definitely would appear with the natural eyes that every encounter worked against them and not for them. But, in looking at the end results, Joseph's suffering brought about his promotion from a pit to the palace. David's life as a shepherd boy, despised and rejected by his own family, rejected by King Saul and constantly on the run for his life ended in him being promoted to "King" over God's people. Job's suffering brought about great loss of everything he possessed, his children, servants and his relationship with his wife who told him to curse his God and die. But, in the end, scripture declares that God gave him double for everything he lost.
Perhaps you may be in a season of suffering and it may appears that every fiery dots available, is being shot at you. It may appear to you that there is no way in the world that what you are going through can ever work for your good, but God's Word declares on today that whatever you may be suffering through on today, it will work for your good.
No, it does not feel good, but it definitely works for our good. We end up stronger than we were prior to entering into our time of testing.
Scripture declares in James 1:3-that the testing of our faith produces patience.
When we suffer, there is an inward work taking place spiritually.God allows suffering in our lives as a tool to strengthen our inner, spiritual man. The goals is to conform us into the likeness of Christ. Unfortunately, suffering is one method that is used to do just that.
Scripture says all things are working together for the good of them that love God.
If you love God, whatever you are going through is gonna work for your good. God guarantees us that on today!
God is Sovereign. He is in control of every area of our lives. Job, David and Joseph life could not have been touched by the hands of the enemy through those that persecuted them without God's permission.
God is all powerful. He has Supreme power over the universe and all that are in it.
Regardless of what life looks like for you right now, God is at work in your life.
Several months ago when I was going through a hard time in accepting the suffering that I was experiencing.
In speaking with a fellow believer, she said to me, "Debra, have you ever thought about the fact that God may be doing a work in you"? Those words stuck with me and a while later, the Holy Spirit confirmed to me that "God is working on the inside of me", for there is a place in Him where He wants me to get and that suffering at the time was the tool God was using to do it.
Did it feel good? Na! But I believed that it was, I kept God in view during the process and I began to see where the things that I had been going through were indeed working and is still working for my good.
There will be so many things in life that will appear to unexplainable to us, but that is where our trust and faith in God comes into action. We must know without a doubt that if we love God, He is working all things together for our good, regardless of what the eyes may see or the pain we may feel.
We aer indeed on the Potter's wheel and He is shaping and molding us into His image daily.
As Christians, God is our only option. There is no other's Word we can believer or trust. God's Words are true and they will not return to him void, but shall go forth and accomplish that which He sent it it to do.
Continue to trust God on today, knowing that all things are indeed working together for your good. Romans 8:18-Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later. Wait on the Lord and be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait I say on the Lord!
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.
God is working all things together for our good! Speak it out loud with authority!
You can not go wrong with the Lord! We have Joseph, David and Job as proof on today as to the fulfillment of God's every promise in their lives.
God's promises are the same for you and I. God changes not, He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Shame the devil and give God the praise in the midst of your storm. If you do, God will be glorified and the devil will be horrified!
God bless and I love you all.
