Proverbs 4:10-15 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. 11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. 12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. 13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. 14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
The wisest man ever lived, King Solomon, said "get wisdom and in all thy getting, get understanding".
In this text, King Solomon reminds us that "wisdom" is the principal thing.
Those who choose "wisdom" will have many years of life. They have been taught by God through His Word, which daily leads us on the path of "wisdom" that God desires for us to be on.
As one who lives a life of wisdom from God, he or she will not be hindered or stumble because of the leading of God's Holy Spirit assisting them.
As people of "wisdom" we must grab a hold of it, keep it and do not let go.
Evil, on the other hand is a path that God dares us not to take. We are warned in this text in vs#14-15 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
Sad to say, but evil and wickedness has become the norm in the lives of many people. It is common place. They do it without any regards, for it has become a normal act of life for them.
Many are following the path of evil and wickedness on today. We see it in our homes, families, workplaces, schools, communities, and even in some church folks.
The path of evil and wickedness is one that is lead by the enemy of your mind. Satan, the adversary, who hates God and hates you. It is he that puts evil and wicked desires in your hearts and mind to act them out against others.
If you have been living a life of evil and wickedness, doing whatever is right in your own eyes, I, like King Solomon in this text, advises you to heed wisdom and get off the path of evil , turn away from it. It is addictive and will enslave you for the rest of your life now and in eternity.
Evil doers are taking the path of evil with no regard to their soul or future destination.
A life of evil doing and living is a path that God is calling you off of on today.
Has satan convince you into believing that evil and wickedness is a way of feeling powerful, controlling, self gaining and right? If he has, I must want you that it is a path that will eventually lead you to destroying your own self.
Have you been tricked to believe that you are more wiser than God? Has wisdom in your own eyes became your truth?
Wise in your own eyes? Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Doing what is right in your eyes can cost you your soul.
Believe it or not, our every actions, proves who is leading us. We all are either being lead by God's divine "Wisdom" or satan's evil and wicked lies.
Jesus describes two paths. One of "wisdom" that leads to life and one of destruction that leads to death. Let's lsiten to Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
What path have you taken? What actions are seen daily in your life? Actions of one who is wise that walks daily with God or actions of one who is evil and is lead by the adversary?
Which path will you take? To be wise or to be wicked and evil? Or, should I say, which path have you taken?
The path of Godly "Wisdom" is "Light" and the path of evil and wickedness is "darkness".
The choice of "Wisdom" or evil? Which will it be for you the rest of your life?
The leading of the Holy Spirit or the leading of satan? Which have you chosen?
God bless you all on today and do tell the Lord thank you for divine "Wisdom".
