Psalm 34:1-I will bless the Lord at all times: His priases shall continually be in my mouth.
There is a song of praise and adoration to God that Hezekiah Walker sings that goes like this:Every praise is to our God. Every word of worship with one accord. Every praise, every praise is to our God. Sing hallelujah to our God. Glory hallelujah to our God. Every praise, every priase is to our God.
Praise belongs to God!
Praise is a powerful tool of strengthening.
Praise takes our focus off of us and all our issues, and puts our focus on God.
Praise invites us into God's presence and leads us into worshiping Him once we get there.
I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Our mouths are very powerful. We can use them to bless or to curse. Proverbs 18:21-The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
When we open our mouth to praise God, the conversations of satan has no room in our mouth.
The Psalmist in this text declares that with his mouth, he WILL "praise the Lord at all times". For he declares that the Lord's praises shall continually flow out of his mouth.
In other words, He is saying, I will praise God when I feel like it, when I don't feel like it, in difficulty times, employed or unemployed, sick or well, when things in life are falling apart, when things are convenient for me and when they are not so convenient for me. Why? God deserves our praise!
Yes, the enemy of our minds would want us to believe that in the midst of whatever it is that we may be going through that we can not give God the praise, but the devil is a liar.
You may be a place of doubt right now based on what you are viewing from your natural eyes instead of through the spirit by faith and maybe asking yourself, why should I bless the Lord at all times. I will give you some help with those question.
Are you alive and able to read this blog? Are you breathing? Can you walk and talk? Do you have ears to hear what the spirit is saying to you? Have you been graced with a reasonable portion of health and strength on today? You have a reason to bless the Lord at all times with your mouth.
You must purpose in your heart that you WILL praise God, in spite of where you may find yourself on today. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning! Another reason to give God praise.
Psalm 23:4-Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
These words of God's promise of protection and presence in the valleys of life's trials that is found in this text is enough to cause you to open your mouth and give God the praise, glory and honor He deserves from you right now.
Are you willing to allow satan to be horrified and God to be glorified through your praise to God this day and everyday? Well, open your mouth and give God the praise right now where you are.
God deserves blessing from our heart that flows through our mouth unto Him in praise and worship. Will you give Him what He deserves from you on today?
