Psalm 18:6-In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Are you in trouble? Are you in despair? Do you need God's help to overcome sin? God is willing to help you if you cry out to Him.
The children of Israel had spent years in Egyptian slavery, bondage and despair. They were unable to escape from Egypt by their own power. They needed God's help for deliverance and being God's people, God did just that.
God rescued His people and lead them through the red sea by His Spirit and His Power into the wilderness where he guided them by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
This same power of God is available to all of us on today who could only believe.
God's Word changes not. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Just as God delivered His people Israel back then, He can and is able to do the same for you and I on today. He is able to deliver us from sin and every difficult problem we now and forever will ever face.
God knows that we are unable to overcome sin and temptation without Him. He alone is the one that is able and willing to help us overcome the impossibles in our lives.
The good news is the fact that psalmist says when we call and cry out to God, He will hear. Our cry will come up in His ear and He will hear and deliver.
The key is this: He is unable to do it if we do not call upon Him. He knows what we stand in need of, but He wants to hear from each one of us individually. If we call upon the name of the Lord, we shall be saved, for He promises to hear and answer our cries.
It is because of God's mercies and compassion towards us that He hears and answers our cries unto Him. The Prophet Jeremiah declares that His mercies towards us are new every morning. It is because of His mercies that we are not consumed.
Who is able to lift us up out of our troubles and despair? Is it our title? our status in the world or in the church? our money? our family name? our degrees? our spouses or children? Who is it? Scripture declares that it is the Lord! He alone is the one who is able to deliver us from trouble and despair.
What happens when we cry out to God in our time of trouble and distress? What is our outcome? When we cry out to God He will lift us out of our distresses.
For a better understanding of what happens to us when we cry out unto our God, Let's listen again to Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God:He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears.
Saints, We must cry out to God. We must plead our case before Him for the help which we desperately need. We need the power of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.'
Psalm 34:17-“The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”
Psalm 50:15-“Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”
The Lord is on our side! If you confess Him as your Lord and Savior on today, He hears your every cry for help and He promises to answer them all.
God bless and I love you all.
