Job 14:1- Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
Looking for a trouble free life? You won't find one here on this earth.
Trouble is a guarantee in life. Trouble will one day knock on all of our doors. None of us are exempt.
Trouble will come as a way of our own doings or as a way of others doings to us. Either way, we all will experience trouble on this journey called life.
Trouble does not care about status, income, neighborhood, degrees, family heritages, positions, race, religious backgrounds, titles, what kind of car you drive, what type of home or subdivision you life in. Trouble is no respect of persons.
We live in a fallen world because of our first parents, Adam and Eve. Their sins have tainted us and the world in which we live.
Looking for a trouble free life? Look no further because you will not find it! Jesus Himself declares in John 16:33-These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
When Jesus declares that in this world we will have tribulations. He is saying to us that there will be times in this life when we will experience persecution, affliction, health issues, financial issues, employment issues, distress, pain, heartbreak, disappointments, danger and on on and on with one trouble after another.
What we must do in the midst of our trouble is as Jesus told us to "be of good cheer". Be encouraged, knowing that God is still on the throne. Trouble don't last always. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.
As we look throughout the bible we will see where God's people experienced trouble of every kind. Yet, they did not waiver in their faith. They continued to trust God. They knew that their mission was greater than their suffering, therefore, they were able to perservere in and through one trouble after another.
Daniel was a man who loved God with his whole heart. He purposed in his heart that He will not defile himself with what was ungodly and yet he was thrown in a lion's den.
The 3 Hebrew boys refused to bow to the king's golden image, yet they were thrown in a fiery furnace.
John the baptist prepared the way for the coming of Chirst, yet he was beheaded.
Paul and Silas set out to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was beaten bloody and thrown in prison.
Jesus Christ came as an example of God's love to all of us and He was rejected from birth by those He came to save. Jesus went about doing nothing but good and yet He was falsely accused and crucified on a cross.
What is my point? You and I are not exempt from trouble! We have got to get this so that when trouble come, we will not panic or do as the young people say "freak out", but seek God for direction in how to handle the trouble.
Are you in trouble? Psalm 34:17 says, The righteous cry and the Lord heareth and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
Are you in trouble? Psalm 34:19 says Many are the affliction of the righteous; but the Lord delivered him out of them all.”
Are you in trouble? Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
No matter what type of trouble you may find yourself in today or any other day, know that the Lord is able to help you and deliver you out of all your troubles. Call on Him!
Looking for a trouble free life? Look no further because it does not exist. Look to Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith. He promises to be with you always, even unto the end of the world.
God bless and I love you all.
