1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 - For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.
The "Good News" on today is the fact that God's destiny for all of us is not wrath but salvation through our Lord Christ Jesus.
Getting to this destination that God has prepared for us before the foundation of the earth is only obtainable through Jesus Christ. There is no way around it. It is through Christ Jesus alone where salvation is obtained.
Acts 4:12-There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." Jesus is it!
The Apostle Paul here says in this text that we receive salvation (life everlasting) through Jesus Christ who died for us. Yes, it is Jesus who died on our behalf, it is Jesus who died in our place, it is Jesus who took the penalty for our sins. He endured the wrath that you and I deserved.
When Jesus died and shed His blood that day on Calvary, the sting of death was destroyed. We were given the opportunity for new life in Him. Jesus made an exchange that day with us that caused all who would believe to be transitioned from 'death to life."
What will you do with the "invitation" called "Salvation"? What will you do with it? We are told in this text that God has not destined us to wrath, but unto salvation.
In all that God has done in making salvation available to man, unfortunately, many today refuse God's gift of life through Christ Jesus.
Believe it or not, the only hope for all of us is Christ. Now is the time to turn to Him, call upon Him while He is near.
You have been destined for greatness and eternal purpose by God.
You have been destined for wrath and eternal separation from God by satan through all his works of darkness that he has convinced you to continue in. Through sin, he wants to convince you that this is your life's destiny and you can live it as you please.
Jesus give us the plan satan has for our lives and His plans for our lives. Let's listen to John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Oh, the horror of not accepting God's free gift of "Salvation" through Christ Jesus. The only end to rejection is "Wrath"!
When Christ returns, all who have accepted Christ will return with Him. Scripture says that the dead in Christ shall rise first and all us that are left will be caught up to meet Him.
Where will you stand on that great day of separation? Who will you blame that day? Who will you rejoice and give thanks to on that great "Lords" day?
Today you have been given knowledge of truth. What you choose to do with it is up to you.
God has done His part in making His will and purpose known for our lives. Daily He calls us out of the works of darkness and into His marvelous light through Christ Jesus.
The good news on today from Jesus to all of us is found in John 9:41-If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
If you have been "born again", saved by grace through faith, you have escaped the terrible day of wrath that is sure to come to all who reject God's Son.
It is God's will that none should perish but that all would come to repentance.
Where are you in your relationship with God? Are you living our your life of salvation that God has predestined for you?
Wrath or Salvation? Which have you chosen?
God bless and I love you all.
