Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
Indeed these are comforting words to a distressful soul.

David experienced trouble on every hand once he was anointed as Israel's king. Many murder attempts on his life from King Saul and his enemies daily. David's life was indeed one on the run that was full of constant distress, but in the midst of it all, he knew where to run to for help.
David knew that God was his secret hiding place, his shelter in life's storm, his high tower, and most of all, his God.
Seeking God as a refuge for his troubled soul was the norm for David. Prayer to God was his life support.
Prayer is very important! When we pray, it connects us to God who is our power source, strength, refuge, protector and deliverer.
The Key to answered prayer is faith. We must believe that we will receive that which we have prayed for by faith. Hebrews 11:6-For without faith it is impossible to please God.
David's prayer was heard and he was delivered by the Lord out of his distress, not merely because he came to Him with tears. No, it was because David came with a heart full of confidence and trust in God. David believed God was able to do just what he was about to ask of Him. He knew that God was his help and that God was able to give him the help he needed in his time of distress.
Do you believe that God can do the same for you? Do you have enough faith to pray a prayer of faith in your time of distress?
Psalm 34:17-The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
The Word of God clear concerning prayer and faith. The two go hand in hand. You can not have one without the other. Also, you can not have faith and fear at the same time. Either you have one or the other.
James 1:6- But let him ask in faith, without wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
David cried to the Lord with confidence, knowing by faith that God was listening and that He would answer.
David declares that from God's holy place (His temple), his cry for mercy in his time of distress was heard in the ears of God. God alone knows the cry of faith.

God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for hearing and answering your prayer of faith on today.
