Ephesians 5:16-17 -Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17-Therefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding of what the will of the Lord is.
No one knows the day nor the how when their last breath will be taken. None of us knows when our days here on earth will end.
Truly, the days are evil and trouble is in the land. The Apostle Paul describes to Timothy what is expected in the future days ahead. The times in which we now live. Let's listen to 2 Timothy 3:1-You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
The days of evil, violence, difficulty and perilousness has come.
In a world that is screaming for us to conform to it's ways, God is also resounding from heaven, a shout for us to be transformed into the likeness of His son so that we may be saved from wrath and the penalty of sin.
It is time to wake up out of the sleep of darkness and begin to walk in the light of Christ. Why? Time here on earth is short, life is short and the days are evil. Here today and gone tomorrow.
A tragedy took place in our city on last night. Nine lives were taken suddenly and unexpectedly. Those 9 that were killed did not go to church expecting death last night, they went to worship God and encountered evil in the Lord's house. People, the days are evil! Perilous times are upon us.
Therefore, we must make the best of the time in which we have been given here on earth. Nothing in life this life is guaranteed. In Christ, there is a guarantee of eternity with God for those who have confessed the Lord the Jesus Christ and believe in their hearts that God had raised Him from the dead.
Because of the time in which we live, we must not be wise in our own eyes. What we must do is put forth every energy of our being in finding out who God is and what the will of God is for our lives. Believe me, it is not to eat, drink and be merry. It is to know Christ and Him crucified, to believe and to be saved.
This journey called life is temporary. When you have spent your life her on earth, however long it may be with unwise, selfish living apart from God and death suddenly takes you out of this world, what will be your end in eternity? Will the life you have lived rebelling against God have been worth it? Think about that on today.
Be careful how you live because the days are evil. Make the most of every opportunity to do what the will of God is for your life.
The time to seek God is now! Time is a precious asset. Once it is gone, it can not be recaptured.
We do not know what tomorrow holds, but we believers know who holds tomorrow in His hands. We may not know the issues of tomorrow, but God does and He has all the solutions.
How are you viewing the time in which you now live? Are you viewing it with natural or spiritual sight? What do you see? Is it what God sees? Take a moment to search the scriptures for your answer.
Saints, it is time for us to truly be the Church. The time to be a public witness as to who Christ is. a Time when the Light of Christ needs to shine bright in and through us. We are the vessels of Christ in the earth. Take advantage of every opportunity to let the light of Christ radiate from your life.
The harvest is truly plentiful! Are you willing to be a laborer in God's vineyard? Much work is needed!
Be not wise in our own eyes, but know what the will of God is for our lives. Remember that life is like a vapor that appears for a moment and then it disappears. Here today and gone tomorrow.
Regardless of where life takes us or how short it may be or how evil the times may be in which we live, if we are in Christ and He is in us, scripture declares "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".
How are you viewing the time in which you now live? Is it of value to you?
Every living creature is given time here on earth. All of our times are different, but we all have been given time to live.
Today, I urge, beg, plea with all of us, to be wise in making good use of the time God has given us here on earth.
We must use the time God has given us to the fullest for the benefit of our souls. Everything else is temporary. 1 John 2:17-And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
What is in your view? How are you viewing the time in which you now live? Make this your question of ponder on today. Be wise in your actions according to God's standard and not according to what is right in your own eyes.
What is your life? James 4;14-How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog--it's here a little while, then it's gone.
Proverbs 27:1- Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
