Ephesians 6:13- Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
Perilous times are upon us. 2 Timothy 3:1 tells us that in the last days “perilous times” will come.
The days are evil in which we now live. Trouble is in the land and evil is present everywhere. Yes, satan is alive and well, but God is too.
The devil has convinced many in the world to reject God and embrace his lies and evil deeds.
Christians are in a spiritual battle by unseen forces in the spirit realm. We are in a fight for our lives spiritually and we must not give into the wiles of the devil but stand against it.
When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we signed up as soldiers in the army of the Lord. Soldiers fight battles.
Therefore, it is time to put your war clothes on saints! Spiritual battles can not be fought with natural weapons. We need spiritual weapon for battles we will encounter in these last and evil days.
Paul warns us about being ready for the evil days which is guaranteed to come. He did not say "if the day of evil come", but "when the day of evil comes". In other words, the days are evil are guaranteed to come and getting dressed and ready for battle before they come is not an option but a mandate.
How do we fight and stand against the evil one? God gives us specific instruction in how to do just that. We do it with the armor of God that is found in Ephesians 6:14-18 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Saints, let's go out today in our whole armor. Let's put on the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Gospel, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit and head out for battle.
It is time to stand firm in our faith! It is time to take our rightful place as Christians in proclaiming and living out the Gospel truth.
1 Corinthians 15:57-But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you have you war clothes on?
