Philippians 4:6 Do Not Worry, Pray!

Philippians 4:6-do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Opportunities for worry presents itself to all of us on a daily basis.

When "worry" shows it's ugly head, we have a choice. We can worry or we can pray to God about it and make our request known unto Him in confidence.

Prayer is our greatest privilege as a Christian, but so often we fail to use it because we allow "worry" to consume our thoughts and take away the idea of the power of God through our prayers.

Perhaps you are asking why should we pray if God knows our needs? God wants to hear from you and He wants you to hear from Him. Prayer is one way of getting the communication line open between God and us. God's Word is another way also.

When we pray concerning our issues in life, we invite God in to take control.

God does not want us to live our lives independent of Him, but dependent upon Him. Will you call on Him in your time of worry? He promises to hear and answer your prayer.

Are you worried struggling with worry on today? God's Word says "don't worry, but pray"!  Make your request known unto God.

God knows everything we have gone through and is going thru. He even knows what we all will face in the future. God cares about you and I and He promises to take care of us.

1 Peter 5:7 - Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Worry does not add to your life it takes away. It takes away today's hope, joy, peace, faith and trust just to name a few.

Are you worried? Pray about everything, tell God what you need and thank Him for what He has already done.

In time of worry, fear and doubt, seek God through worship for it gets your mind off of your problems and on the promises of God. Prayer and worship helps us get lost in the presence of God  and allows us to leave the cares of this world behind.

If you have been overtaken by worry, here is a little pain medicine for your personally, from Jesus. Let's listen to Matthew 6;25-34 -Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Are you worried? Worry not! God got you!

God bless and  I love you all.
