Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Did you hear what God's Word said to you? He is declaring to be our "hiding place" in the midst of life's storm. He is the Shelter in which we must hide in when trouble comes. He has the power to keep us safe and secure under His wings. A place where the enemy can not go.
It is under the wings of God's shelter is where we rejoice and sing our songs of victory. It is also under the wings of God's shelter where we find strength, peace, power, love and comfort.
David knew where to run to for refuge when troubles came. He was constantly on the run for his life from his enemies. But even in the midst of the attacks of the enemy, David declares that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
David's life was full of trouble. The storms of life continually raged in his life, but He knew where to run for shelter. He knew that God was his very present help.
This same God who David confessed, who declares that He changes not, can be your shelter too on today if you would only believe.
People of God, If you have settled in your mind to go against the grain of the world to follow and obey Christ, expect the attacks by an ever present evil. 1 Peter 4:12-Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.
Know this:following Christ will bring persecution. Satan and his employees will see to it.
Satan will use every weapon in his arsenal to attempt to defeat you because his mind has been blinded from the truth. He has even deceived himself into believing that he has more power than God and that God is blind. Oh, the power of satan's deception!
Saints, the need to find a place of refuge and protection is greater now than ever. Threats and danger lurks everywhere. We are living in a time where "EVIL"is on the rise. Greater and more evident than ever before. The evildoers are plotting and scheming with no thoughts of the fear of God for evil doings, no guilt, no shame and no conscience.
One thing for sure, scripture declares in 2 Corinthians 5:10-For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
2 Corinthians 4:4-Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18-The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.
The good news on today Saints is the fact that even in the midst of all the evil that is going on the world God declares that evil will be punished. Let's listen to Proverbs 11:21-Though they join hand to hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the descendants of the righteous shall be delivered.

Are you in a spiritual battle? Fret not and fear not! God declares these words to you and I today in Romans 12:19-Do not take revenge, dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me. I will pay them back, declares the Lord."
Verse #2 of this same text says "WE WILL NOT FEAR" the enemy. Why? Because God is our refuge and strength. Who can stand against our God?
