2 Corinthians 1:4 - He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
The writer of this text comforts us with these words of declaration from God our Father who promises to comfort us in "ALL" of our troubles and in "ALL" our afflictions, not just some.
Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble.
It brings great joy to all of us in knowing and believing that God not only loves and cares for all of us, but that He is willing to comfort us when we need Him.
Are you in need of being comforted from trouble, pain, stress, disbelief, rejection, hurt or suffering for the sake of Christ?
If your answer is yes to this question, God offers you comfort on today. Scripture declares that He is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.
Whatever it is that you are suffering for the sake of Christ, God sees it all. He knows it can be hard, difficult, discouraging and overwhelming. But, in the midst of it "all", He promises to comfort us and in return expects us to comfort others with the same comfort He has comfort us with.
Suffering comes to us all. Suffering is no respecter of persons. The color of our skin, the places where we work, the neighborhood we live in, our status in society or in the church, our family heritage, how much money we have in the bank, our title or position does not matter. You will suffer! Especially, if you have made up your mind to follow Christ.
2 Timothy 3:12-Yea and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
The good news on today is that in "ALL" of whatever it is we are going through or ever will go through is the fact that God offers us His comfort in it.
God Himself declares in Isaiah 66:13a-As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.
The reason He comforts us in "ALL" our troubles is so that we may be able to do the same for others.
Yes, God expects us to share the same love and comfort He gives us with those around us who are also in need of what we have been given by Him. It is our responsibility, our duty to comfort and be there for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We are to serve one another through our strengthening of each other. Jesus told Peter in Luke 22:32-but I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
This comfort that God offers us today flows from God to every believer when we suffer for the sake of Christ and when we comfort others who are in trouble or need.
In need of comfort on today? God can do just that for you.
Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.”
God bless and I love you all.
