2 Corinthians 4:16- Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
Saints, this is not the time to give up! Yes, your physical bodies may be aching, weary or tired, but inwardly through Christ Jesus, there is a work taking place on the inside of you. That is a reason to shout right there!
God is doing a work on the inside of us!!! Good God Almighty! Say to yourself, "self, God is doing a great work in you"! Yes, you may be aging and aching but the work of God never stops inside of us.
Believe it or not, from the day that we are born, we are a day closer to our death date. We live to die and yet we live again in eternity with God for those who know and accept Christ Jesus as their Redeemer.
Those who refuse to know and accept Him will spend eternity separated from Him in eternal torment. Yes, you too will liver eternally. We all were born to die and yet live again.
When Paul says we are all wasting away, he is saying that our bodies are aging day by day outwardly as it heads towards it's end of life.
But, even in the weakening of our physical body, a "miracle" is taking place on the inside of these earthly temple of those who have a personal relationship with Christ.
The point that Paul is trying to make with us on today is the fact that God allows trouble as a part of His plan to daily renew us spiritually. Did you hear that? Pain produces power!
You are gaining strength, eventhough you are physically feeling weak.
In looking back over my own life, I can personally say that all the pain, hurts, heartache, rejection, opposition, sickness, betrayal, offense, etc that I have experienced have all worked together in strengthening my inward man day by day.
All that I suffered at whatever the cost was, I have gained in the process of it all. I am wiser, better and stronger in Christ than I have ever been before. Day by day, I am beginning, in the midst of life's storm, to look and act more like Jesus through it all.
Yet my outward man is daily perishing, inwardly I am daily growing.
Are you feeling physically week? Take a dose of the pain medicine God prescribed for Paul when he complained about the thorn in his flesh. Let's listen to 2 Corinthians 12:9- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Do not give up but keep moving forward. Outwardly weak, but inwardly strong!
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for He is your strength on today.
I love you all
