Job 19:25-I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
As much as the world is trying to supress the name of Jesus and the existence of God and His Sovereign and creative power, Job declares that "my Redeemer lives"!
Job suffered more than anyone in bible history and survived.
One day while God was holding a meeting with the angels in heaven, satan showed up. Yes, satan has to check in with God too. He has to seek God permission to attack you and I. He has no power on his own, only what God allows him to have.
God bragged to satan about Job saying "there is none like him in the earth". Satan said to God "if you take everything He has, he will curse you to your face. God told satan "he is in your power, you can only touch his body, but not his life.
Job experienced one suffering after another soon after God gave satan permission to do so.
In the midst of loosing 10 children, all his live stocks, all his wealth, all his servants and now even his health, Job in a situation that would have probably killed some, a situation that would have caused some to either blame or hate God, we find Job showing and declaring his dependence on God in the worst situation imaginable.
In the midst of pain, suffering, loss, sorrow, hurt and grief, Job found assurance in the faithfulness of God for He declares that "my Redeemer lives"!
Even though we constantly see evidence of trouble, sickness and even death in our world today, we do not have to fear it or to face it without hope.
As Christians, our hope is not in the world nor the things of the world. Our hope is in Christ Jesus. Scripture declares that those who hope in Christ shall not be brought to shame. Believe it saints!!!
Job was barely alive, hanging on to the power of God that was within him, and yet still confessing faith in who he knew God was. He declared in the midst of pain, loss, false accusations and suffering "I know my Redeemer lives"!
I know my redeemer lives! Is this your proclamation on today in the fiery furnace of your life?
Regardless of what society or the world says, regardless of my pain or suffering, regardless of what I have been through, regardless of what's to come, I too declare today and everyday that "my Redeemer lives"!
In declaring that his Redeemer lives, Job is declaring that one day he will see Jesus with his own eyes. Job 19:26-27-After my skin is destroyed, then in my flesh shall I see God. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
In other words, Job is declaring that when life is over on this side, when he has been taken our in death, He will see God face to face.
Because of the hope of Christ that is within Him, Job proves to us on today that in any situation we may have to go through, we do not have to be hopeless for we have hope in Christ Jesus who is with us.
Knowing the hope we have in Christ Jesus, we too as Christians like Job, can declare on today that we know our "Redeemer Lives'!
Job 14:14-"If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait Until my change comes.
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but holy lean on Jesus name. On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand.
Wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Your "Redeemer" lives!
I will wait in hope until my changes come! Why? Because I know "my Redeemer lives"!
God bless and I love you all!
