Luke 11:23 - Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
In their travel, John and the other disciples saw a strange man that was preaching the same message of Christ as they were to a congregation. People that were possessed with demonic spirits was also brought to this man and being delivered by this man in the authority of Jesus name.
John and the other disciples were official spokesman for Jesus and had never seen this before. They had been trained personally by Jesus and never seen or heard of this man that was preaching and working miracles of healing from demonic spirits in the name of Jesus.
The Apostle John went to Jesus and said to Him, Master, we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him because he is not one of us.
"Do not stop him" Jesus replied, for whoever is not against me is for me.
In other words, do not stop anyone; this man or anyone like him if he or she is putting for every effort in earnestly proclaiming the name of Jesus to redeem men and women from their sin.
Jesus clearly states in this text that if the man was in no way opposed to Christ, do not attempt to stop the work that he or she is doing for that person is not against Christ but for Him.
The question to be answered on today by all of us is where do we stand as far as Christ is concerned?
As the saints of old would say "whose side are you on"?
If we are on the Lord's side, there should be some evidence. Not so much with our lips, but action that originates from a heart that has truly been transformed by faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.
If you are undecided about where you stand concerning Jesus, as Joshua said unto Israel, I say unto you in Joshua 24:15-"If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Every heart that is against Christ is a heart that satan uses as his playground and his palace. A place where he dwells and a place where he reign and rule those who choose to stand against Christ, His commands, His principles and His Words of authority that is written in His bible.
We all have a choice to make as to whom we are going to serve. Jesus clearly states in scripture that no man can serve 2 masters.
The man in this text was proclaiming Christ to be the only way to God, therefore, Jesus said "do not stop him".
What is your "PROCLAMATION"on today? For or against Christ?
Where do you stand where Christ is concerned? Ponder this question on today and then answer it.
God bless and I love you all.
