Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the Lord while He may be found, call you upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
Do you find yourself in need of God's mercy on today?
God sends forth an invitation to receive mercy for all who stand in need of it on today, for He says "come unto me all ye who are labor and a heavy laden and I will give you rest."
It is only through God's grace and mercy that we can be healed and made whole again.
God commands us to seek Him with our whole heart, for this is where the seeking for mercy begins.
We are told in this text to “seek the Lord while He may be found”. This tells me that there is a possibility of seeking God and not being able to find Him.
When will there ever be a time when God cannot be found? When a heart is harden against God, it cannot seek, hear from God nor find God. When the heart is harden, that is the time when God’s still voice and gentle touch cannot be heard nor felt. We must humble ourselves under the Mighty Hands of God.
By means of His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, God has given us 24/7 access to His throne of grace and mercy. As a matter of fact, He bids us to come.
If you find yourself not being able to find God when you seek Him, it is a matter of the heart. Proverbs 4:23-Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Indeed, the mouth speaks what is in the heart.
If you personally make the choice to seek the Lord on today, He promises you that you will find Him. Jeremiah 29:13-You shall seek Me and find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart.
Proverbs 8:17 - I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.
True peace, forgiveness of sins, grace, redemption, mercy, eternal and everlasting love, joy and hope can only be found in God our Father and Creator. He knows exactly what we need and He is able to provide all of it if we would seek Him and not things or other people for what only God can provide and give to those whom He loves, created and cares for.
Are you in need of God's mercy on today?
The invitation has been given. The command has also been given. Seek the Lord, call upon the Lord, forsake your wicked ways and unrighteous thoughts, return to God and He promises to show you mercy and abundantly pardon you.
If you are seeking mercy on today, God has made it available to you through Christ Jesus.
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for He is a Merciful God.
