Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
Trust-pistis in the greek. faith, belief, trust, confidence; fidelity, faithfulness.
To trust God is to have faith in Him.
Faith is a gift that is given by God to them that believe. No, faith is not produced within you nor I, for it is God who gracefully gives this gift called faith to us.
It is the Lord God who divinely persuades us into knowing and doing His will as we daily trust and depend on Him by means of the leading of His Holy Spirit. Yes, it is the Lord our God who births faith in us and not we ourselves.
The call today is to "TRUST GOD" and lean not unto our own understanding. To have confidence and trust in His will for our lives. To trust God to the point of putting our entire lives into His hands.
In our own understanding, we do not and cannot fully understand God’s purpose for our lives and we are unable to fully see reality.
Our understanding is considered to be finite while God's understanding is infinite.
That is why we are commanded to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding; but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths.
God already knows the route we need to take. He has gone before us to clear the path. All we have to do is have faith, trust Him and take Him at His Word and He will lead us down the path which He has already predestined for us to walk.
Not sure what the will of God is for your life? Seek God by daily getting into the Word of God, study and meditate on His Word, pray and ask God to give you revelation of His Word so that you may be able to not only submit to understand His will, submit to His will for your life, but also apply it to your life.
Without faith in God, there is no understanding of God. Hebrews 11:6-And without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
I believe that all the chaos we see in the world today and in our lives on a daily basis is due to man’s belief that we have all the answers and that we know better than God.
If we could be honest, we all have been guilt of this mindset and many still are guilty of it.
Today, God is calling us all away from the mindset of self sufficiency, self dependency, self rule and self guidance.
Believing that we know more about how to handle and solve the issue of life than God who created us and all that is in the earth, leads us down a path of continual frustration, confusion, trouble, chaos, unnecessary heartaches, difficulties, fears, doubt, anger, misunderstandings, anxiety strife and on and on.
Many people today are leaning on their own understanding and when life goes the opposite of that which they expected or planned, they begin to blame God for their choice of trusting self and not Him.
We don’t have all the answers! We need God! We were created for His purpose alone and He is the only one who knows what is best for us.
When we learn to daily trust God and lean on His understanding and not ours, we have made the right and best choice for our lives now and in the future.
When we trust God and lean unto His understanding, we are able to rest in the power of the All Knowing, All Sufficient, Sovereign God of the universe even in the midst of situations and circumstances that may have caused others to go crazy or even take their own lives.
When God is taking the lead role in directing our paths through His understanding, we can rest assured that He knows what is best for us. We will have hope for in Him there is fullness of joy.
When God is taking the lead role in directing our paths through His understanding we can feel the presence of His love, we can feel the fullness of His joy within us, we know without a doubt that He loves and cares for us.
It is in the leaning and trusting in God’s understanding where we can truly have the peace of God and peace with God.
It is in the leaning unto God’s understanding that we know without a doubt that our soul has found a resting place through redemption and restoration back to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ who shed His blood on that old ruggard cross at Calvary over 2k years ago for you and I.
I can only hope and pray that ALL of us choose joy on today by not leaning not on our own understanding but by leaning on the understanding of our God who is a sure foundation to build upon.
Proverbs 14:12-There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 14:33-Wisdom rests in the heart of a man of understanding.”
Proverbs 15:14-The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge.
True knowledge, wisdom, guidance and understanding is found in God alone.
Will you trust God on today for He alone knows the path in which we all need to take?
