Proverbs 16:25- There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
My eye's view! Is this your perspective on life? Your way or the highway?
Believe it or not, but this is how many are living their lives on today.
"My eyes view" has taken the front seat in the world in which we live. So as it was int he days of Noah for scripture declares in Judges 21:25- In those days Israel had no king, all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.
The people may not have had a physical king, but they had the "WORD OF GOD" as their guide. They had already been given the 10 commands as a guide. They also had the Prophets. Yet, the people still chose to live their lives from "my eyes view."
We today, have a King. His name is King Jesus! We have His Word called the "Bible", His Holy Spirit and God the Father.
No, God did not leave us alone to fumble through this world on our own.
We also have Pastors, Ministers, Teachers, Evangelist, Christians, christian books, internet, ipads, iphones and every kind of access we need to get the Word of God, yet many continue to live from "my eyes view."
The truth of the matter is this: We are without excuse!!! We have been given the tools needed to help us know and live out the will of God for our lives and it is definitely not according to “my eyes view.”
Life does repeat itself. Nothing new is under the sun.
"My eyes view" is a dangerous place to be for scripture declares that there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end is the way of death.
It is through the lense of scripture where "my eyes view" must be changed from "my will to God’s will, my view to God's view."
Proverbs 4:7-Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
King Solomon, the writer of this text makes a very good point when he said "there is a way that seems right."
In other words there is a lifestyle or a course of action that someone may believe to be right to them, but in reality, it is the wrong way.
In order for something to seem right, there must be some sort of idea or fact to prove that the view in the mind of him or her is not the right view.
When we want what we want, we see what we want to see, be it right or wrong.
That is not the way it should be, but unfortunately, we live in a world where that is where society calls “normal” and ok to abide by.
Solomon informs some and reminds others on today that any way of doing things we might come up with, any course of action or set of ideas that seems right to us that are contrary to the Word of God is not only a dangerous road to travel, but it is also a path of separation from God now and in eternity.
Is every thought wrong or evil? NO!
Keep in your mind eyes that God’s truth and righteousness can not be measured by man, but by the Word of God.
God is truth! He alone decides what is right and what is wrong. The "Creator" sets the rules, not the creation. God created man, not the other way around.
The people of Noah's day lived their lives as many are today in viewing life from "my eyes view" and they all died an unexpected death by drowning.
The people of Noah’s day did not have to die an unexpected death. It was by choice. It wasn't that they did not have any warnings of the consequences of "my eyes view" because Noah warned them day in and day out without the heart of the people changing from "my eyes view to God's eye view."
Where are you at on today concerning your eyes view and God’s view? Which highway are you traveling? The one you set or the one God has for you that is found in His Word?
What’s in your view?
Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit.
Proverbs 12:15-The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise.
If you by chance find yourself traveling the road of “my eyes view”, you still have a chance to change course if you are reading this blog on today for God is merciful and willing to show you grace and mercy if you are willing to change your view.
John 6:37-Those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. THIS INCLUDES YOU!
