Matthew 2:13-15 Now when they departed, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and escape to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word. For Herod will seek the young Child to kill Him.”
14 When he rose, he took the young Child and His mother by night, and departed into Egypt, 15 and remained there until the death of Herod, to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet, “Out of Egypt I have called My Son.”
When the "Wise Men" departed from Bethlehem after seeing the "Christ Child" and presenting Him with gifts, the angel of the Lord appeared and spoke to Joseph in a dream, saying "arise, take the young child and His mother, and escape to Egypt and stay there until I bring you Word."
Herod's plot to kill Jesus was set in motion. Herod had one plan but God had another plan. Herod's plan was to kill Jesus, but he instead is going to be the one that will die.
WARNING: Be careful of the ditches you dig for others. It does not have to be by killing someone physically, it could be one of deceit, lies, killing them with words from your mouth, setting traps to cause people to fall or bring harm to them, etc. because the ditch you dig, will be your own pitfall.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
This text today again points to the importance of "obedience" to the Word and Will of God for our lives.

Divine direction is available to all who are willing to confess, believe and obey.
Obedience is better than sacrifice!
