Hebrews 6:10-God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
Feeling forgotten by God? Are you wondering if God’s promise will ever be fulfilled in your life? Are you wondering if He would ever open that door He promised to open for you at His appointed time? Have you been lead to believe that God has changed His mind concerning you? Are you feeling as if your labor is in vain? Do you think that God does not see your work for Him?
Be not be troubled or disheartened. God sees your work on His behalf.
As a way to encourage the Saints, the Apostle Paul reminds them and us on today that God is not an unjust God, but a God of justice and love. A God who not only sees our works, but has not forgotten what we have done in our service to Him by our service in helping and continuing to help others.
Knowing that the Lord our God is righteous should encourage us as we daily work for Him.
We should never doubt that God will reward us for the work we do for Him! Scripture declares that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Shall He say it and not do it? God will do just what He says.
Remember, discouragement does not come from God, but from the adversary in different forms of weapons in his attempt to cause us to quit and give up on the Lord’s work, but we can’t. We are working for the Lord and not man.
As believers we must continue on doing that which God has assigned to our hands, knowing that God has not forgotten us and that He will reward us now and in heaven as we continue to serve Him.
We are reminded in this text that God HAS NOT AND WILL NOT forget our work. God knows us and He knows our work. He is ever present with us for He promises to never leave us nor forsake us, but to be with us always, even unto the ends of the earth.
Living the Christian life is not always easy, but it is worth it. Of course, there are times when the journey appears to be very hard, but remember, life is even harder for those who are lost and do not or either chooses not to know God.
I would rather struggle with God than apart from Him.
Scripture declares in Psalm 46:1 states that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. This tells me that regardless of what I may experience in my work for the Lord, God is still working things out for my good and He is with me.
Remember Daniel in the lion’s den? The 3 Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace, remember them? God was with them too and He is with us also.
People of God, we have a promise on today that,“God is not unrighteous to forget our work.” In other words, God has not forgotten us!
God’s righteousness not only makes certain that He will “not forget” our work, but He will remember and reward us for them.
When God says He will not forget our work, He will not forget! God will reward our work that is done in obedience to Him. He promises us that!
People of God, God sends forth encouragement for those on today who are laboring in his vineyard and may feel as though their labor is in vain because God has forgotten them.
God wants you to know that you will reap a harvest in due season if you faint not.
Every time you are faithful in God’s work, God sees it, He knows all about it and He will reward you for it in a way greater than we deserve.
Our earthly reward is great, but the Apostle Paul speaks of a greater reward that God has in store for the believers in 1 Corinthians 2:9-“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”
People of God, in all you do, do it as unto the Lord for your reward is great in heaven.
Revelations 22:12-And, behold, I come quickly. My reward is with Me to give to each one according to his work.
Don’t give up Saints! God has not forgotten you. God fulfills what He promises.
If your remember nothing else, remember this:“God has not forgotten you”!
God bless and do tell the Lord thank you for being a “Faithful Promise Keeper.”
