Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, 9 not of works, so that no one should boast.
Grace=The unmerited favor of God toward man. God not giving us (his enemies) the wrath our sins deserved, but instead showed us mercy.
"Grace is God's bestowing of His goodness and kindness on sinners who are undeserving of it.
Grace is not merited nor earned for it is a "GIFT" from God to humanity.
Scripture declares that the "GRACE" of God which brings "SALVATION" has appeared to all mankind.
Let's listen to Titus 2:11-14-For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12- teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and in godliness in this present world, 13- as we await the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14- who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
Because of this "GRACE" that God has bestowed upon us, we are commanded to teach, exhort and rebuke with authority, God's Word and to allow no man to disregard or despise us, but to conduct ourselves and our teaching in a manner that commands respect according to Titus 2:15.
Many professing Christians today ignore the biblical truth that “Grace” "instructs us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live righteously and godly in this dark world in which we live.
Choosing to ignore God's command does not negate the fact God commands us to obey biblical truth about "Grace".
God's grace of “FORGIVENESS” demands faith, repentance, and a turning away from our former life style of sin to one of righteousness in Christ by faith through the leading of God’s Holy Spirit.
Grace is not a "license" to willful sin. Let's listen to what the Apostle Paul has to say concerning it in Romans 6:1-2-What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2- Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Paul here references a willful, habitual lifestyle of sin.
Salvation is by “Grace” through faith alone in Christ atoning work at Calvary and not of works.
Salvation through faith alone means trusting in what Jesus did for us on the cross. No, all our hard and good works has nothing to do with salvation.
Saving "Grace" is seen through our works. We work for God because we are saved and not that our works saves us.
To be saved means that we have been rescued by The Lord Jesus Christ from God’s wrath and judgment.
Salvation by “Grace” alone means that we did absolutely nothing to earn or merit salvation.
Salvation is God’s “FREE” gift to us.
The breaking of sin's chains on humanity took place at Calvary over 2k years ago when Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross.
It is God's “Grace” that not only set us free from the penalty of sin and death, but also sets us free of sin’s power over us with the help of God’s Holy Spirit that came to live on the inside of us as soon as we made confession of our faith in Christ Jesus.
I promise you on today and I urge you that if you seek shelter in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can personally claim this text as your own.
Remember: By “GRACE” you have been “SAVED” through “FAITH”; and that not of yourselves, it is the “GIFT” of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
