Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
In a world full of uncertainties, chaos, fear, unbelief, turmoil, stress, weariness of heart and mind, God is calling you to trust Him for He alone is the only one that can truly be trusted.
Psalm 71:5-For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
2 Chronicles 20:6-"O LORD, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven." You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!
Trusting God and learning unto not unto our own understanding and acknowledging God is the call on today. Not my way, but God’s way is the indeed the call in this hour in which we now live. Seek the Lord while He may be found.
We already know where leaning to our own understanding would lead us. We have our first parents as an example and we have the world in which we live in now also as an example of the path where our country is headed because of humanity leaning to it’s own understanding and not God.
Adam and Eve is another example of the path where leaning unto our own understanding can lead us. They leaned unto their own understanding and their choice affected all of creation by infecting us all with “sin” at birth.
The call today is to "Trust" God with all your heart. We are to lean not unto our own understanding, but God's understanding through scripture for there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is death.
God knows the path we should take and if we allow Him to lead us down that path He has planned for us, He will do just that. Jeremiah 29:11-For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Following the path that God has already gone before us and cleared for us requires that we " trust Him, acknowledge" Him in all our ways” for He is the "Sovereign God" and besides Him there is no other.
Trusting God with our "WHOLE" heart, leaning not unto our own understanding, acknowledging Him in all our ways, praying, meditating and studying His Word is a guaranteed way for God to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto our path.
Trusting God with our whole heart is indeed a matter of the heart.
As my Pastor, Rev. Isaac J. Holt, Jr. would say "trust God, even when you think you cannot trace Him, for He is right there with you.
Yes, life can be hard at times and the trials of life can be intense and cause you to feel discouraged, but God calls you today to cast your cares on him by putting your faith and trust in Him this day and everyday.
We are commanded in proverbs 2:2- incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding.
True wisdom and understanding starts with God. Proverbs 9:10-The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
The response that God is commanding from all of us from this day forwards is to trust Him and put our faith in Him and not ourselves.
Hebrews 11:6- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Where have you placed your faith and trust? Is it in self, other people or other things? God calls you on today to place you “TRUST” in Him for He alone is the only guarantee you have. Everything and everyone else is temporary and perishable.
Trust the Lord on today for He commands us to do just that.
God bless you all.
