Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed;His compassion do not fail; 23 They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.
Mercy=to be gracious, to show favor, to show pity; goodness, kindness, faithfulness, love, compassion for the miserable and tenderly affectionate.
Are you hurting and in need of God's mercy? Have you tried everything the world has to offer and now find yourself more miserable than ever before? If you answered yes, the mercy of God is calling you.
Run to Jesus for He is faithful and His mercy is everlasting and they are also unfailing to His people. They never cease nor fail to accomplish there purpose in our lives.
God’s faithfulness means that because He is the truth, everything he says and does is a guarantee. His Word will not return to Him void.
When discouragement and despair attempts to set in your mind, remember God is merciful and He is faithful.
When sickness and trouble arises, remember 2 Thessalonians 3:3- But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.”
There are and there will be times in life when we all may feel overwhelmed by life's circumstances and the enemy of our mind comes along to try to convinced us that God does not care nor is He there for us. What do we do?
What do we do when these lies and untruths attempt to settle in our minds?
What we do is remind ourselves of what God's Word says about us and our circumstances. Let's listen to the advise given us in the word of God in Hebrews 10:23 "Let us firmly hold the profession of our faith without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." ”
In other words, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going by holding fast to our faith and not wavering.
In the fight and struggles of life, we continue on in faith knowing that God's word is true and He is faithful to bring it to pass in our lives if we could only believe and not give up and quit on God.
If you are still alive and reading this blog, God has been faithful to you and has shown you mercy yet another day. Thank God we have not been consumed.
The Prophet Jeremiah who wrote this text, describes his anguish throughout this text. He spoke about his afflictions, his misery, his weakness in strength and even feelings of abandonment by God at times as He continue to prophecy and preach to a rebellious people.
But, as he began to bring to remembrance who God is and how faithful God has been, Jeremiah said these profouond words in vs#21-23- But this I call to mind, and therefore, I have hope:it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed; His compassion do not fail. 23 they are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness.
Sometimes we have to clear our heads from all the craziness of this world, find a quiet place, get in God's word and meditate on God's goodness so that we can remind ourselves of how merciful and faithful He has been and continues to be in our lives.
In the midst of Jeremiah’s lamentation over the sin of Israel, he proclaims God’s faithfulness.
Even in God’s wrath, there is mercy. Even in God’s judgments He is compassionate towards us.
Although life may seem to throw hard and heavy blows at us at times, we have not been consumed or overtaken by them for we are still here.
I urge you all on today to take the time to recognize God's faithfulness in your lives for His compassion towards you and I are new every morning. They never fail, regardless of what we may have to endure! God's love towards us is never ending for it is from everlasting to everlasting!
Though you may be going through a tough time right now or just may have come out of one, you have not been consumed. So take the time to recognize God’s faithfulness, for “Great” is His faithful unto us.
God’s mercy said no to eternal death for us for our sins.
God’s show of love and mercy towards humanity was at Bethlehem where He put on flesh and dwelt among us, but most profoundly seen at the cross of Calvary where Jesus died and shed His blood for your sins and mine.
Think on this for a moment:At Calvary, "MERCY" said "NO" sin would never take control!
God has decided to deal with us in mercy and not wrath. That thought should make your heart a melting pot right now.
Will you trust God on today and take Him at His word for He is merciful and faithful to all who call upon Him.
Because of God's mercies and His faithfulness, I urge you to invite Jesus into your life. Come to Him on today for He is slow to anger and always abounding in mercy.
God knows everything we have done, said, thought, acted upon for scripture declares in Hebrews 4;13-all things are naked and open unto the eyes of the Lord whom we have to deal.
In knowing all that He knows about us, God is still willing to show us mercy. GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!
Our God is faithful, His Word is true and He will do just what He said.
Are you in trouble and standing in need of a Savior on today? Try God for He is faithful and He is willing to show you mercy on today.
Believe it or not, our God who is merciful and faithful loves you more than anyone could ever love you. He proved it to you at the cross.
John 5:13- Greater love has no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Whatever situation or circumstance are you dealing with on today that has caused you to believe that you are at the end of you’re your rope and you just can not take it anymore? What is it??? Whatever it is, “HIM ABLE”!
It is time to run to God's throne of GRACE AND MERCY where we can find the help we need in time of trouble.
